Objective:The purpose of this project is to explore the correlation between BPPV and vestibular function tests, evaluate the clinical value of vestibular function tests in patients with BPPV,provide objective evaluation indicators for the diagnosis of BPPV,and to further understand the mechanism of BPPV and assist in evaluating the effect of manual reduction.Provide an effective basis for the prognosis of BPPV.Methods:1.BPPV group:Select 60 patients who were diagnosed with BPPV in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from December 2018 to December 2020.The vestibular function test was performed on 60 patients. The test items include spontaneous test, gaze test, smooth pursuit test, saccade test, optokinetic test,Hallpike caloric test.Use the videonystagmography to record the results separately.Re-check the caloric test test one week after the standard manual reset.2.Control group:40 healthy people,no history of vertigo, ear diseases and ear surgery;no eye diseases such as eye movement disorders, visual disturbances and other obstructive examinations;no cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and chronic diseases;no recent infections Sexual disease. The vestibular function was also checked, and the check items were the same as those in the BPPV group.Use the videonystagmography to record the results separately.Results:1.The results of spontaneous test, gaze test, smooth pursuit test, saccade test, optokinetic test between the BPPV group and the control group were not statistically significant.2.The results of the caloric test between the BPPV group and the control group are statistically different(P<0.05),and the abnormal rate of the it in the BPPV group is significantly higher than that of the control group.3.There was no statistical difference in gender between the caloric test in the BPPV group, but there was a statistical difference in age(P<0.05).4.There is no statistically significant difference in the results of the caloric test in patients with different tube types of BPPV.5.There was a statistically significant difference in the results of the HCT before and after the canalith repositioning procedure(CRP)in the BPPV group(P<0.05).The abnormal rate of the HCT after CRP was significantly lower than before.Conclusion:1.The vestibular function test can distinguish central and peripheral vertigo, and can be widely used in the diagnosis and treatment of BPPV.It has significant value in determining the affected side of BPPV and distinguishing tube stones and crest cap stones.2.The results of the caloric test are related to the prevalence of BPPV.The abnormality of the caloric test is related to the age of the BPPV patient. The older the age,the higher the abnormality rate, and the abnormalities occur in the affected ear.The caloric test can be used to detect various The vestibular function of tubular BPPV.3.Canalith Repositioning Procedur(CRP)is the most effective treatment for BPPV,and it has a rehabilitative effect on the vestibular function of the patient. After CRP,a caloric test is performed, which has a certain value in the evaluation of the treatment effect.
