ObjectiveStudy different methods of measuring the tube used in NICU of children,to explore the suitable catheter length of newborn, provide the basis for clinical neonatal stomach tube measurement method,in order to satisfy the children with gastric lavage, drug delivery, enteral nutrition and the different needs of gastrointestinal decompression, reduce complications and provide theoretical basis for the treatment of children.MethodsThe first part(1)used the distance between the anterior superior iliac spine and the ischial tuberosity to measure the length of the gastric tube to calculate the length of the gastric tube. Two qualified nurses independently applied the method to insert the gastric tube in 20 children to evaluate the feasibility of the method.(2)Selection in October 2018 to October 2019 in A certain level of first-class hospital NICU hospitalization need A gastric tube of children as the research object, select into standard with 135 cases, the method of using hospital number sequence, the child can be divided into three groups A,B,C,using nasal-earxiphoid process for A gastric tube measurement method for group A(control group),using his nose-measurements of xiphoid process A gastric tube group for group B(control group),using iliac spine and tibial tubercle group on gastric tube for measuring method for group C(experimental group),measure the length of the stomach tube inserted respectively, and comparison research. In the second part, the children were placed in the warm box to keep warm, and the treatment and nursing operations were completed in the warm box.Three methods of gastric tube insertion were applied to the children to study their respiration, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, success rate of one-time intubation, intubation time, and the occurrence of nausea, vomiting and abdominal distension. The results1.The gastric tube insertion length of the three groups was not significantly different from that of group B(P>0.05),while the difference between group B and group C was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The intubation time in group A and group B was significantly longer than that in group C,with P<0.05,showing A statistical difference.3.During and after gastric tube placement, the heart rate and respiratory rate of group A and group B were lower than that of group C,and the percutaneous oxygen saturation of group C was higher than that of group A and group B,P<0.05,indicating statistically significant differences.Conclusion1.The distance between the anterior superior iliac spine and the tibial tubercle was used to measure the length of the gastric tube.2.The measurement of gastric tube length by the distance between the anterior superior iliac spine and the tibial tubercle has less complications than the traditional method and is worthy of clinical application.
