Population aging is one of the important globally social problems. In response to the tide of population aging, the World Health Organization(WHO)has successively proposed the slogans of "healthy aging" and "active aging",calling on countries to actively respond to the challenges posed by the aging population. In the past two decades, the aging population has continued to increase in China, with an average annual growth rate of 3.28%.Facing with the huge aging population and its rapid acceleration,Xi Jinping proposed the healthy China strategy in the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which requires the government to play a leading role and actively promote the health of the elderly.Under this context, how to grasp the influencing factors and explore the mechanisms of the health of the elderly are so critical that we can scientifically and accurately put forward policy recommendations to promote the health of the elderly.Taking the health influencing factors and mechanism of the elderly as the research objects, the thesis systematically analyzes health influencing factors of the elderly based on the sociological theory of the elderly, demand level theory, intermediary effect theory, correlation tools, regression analysis, intermediary effect test model, and other analytical tools. Then, the targeted policy recommendations are put forward to promote the health of the elderly.the thesis carries out the research from three aspects: firstly, based on the data of the China Health and Elderly Tracking Survey(CHARLS)cross-sectional of 2015,the relationship of the self-evaluation of the elderly with social support, lifestyle, socioeconomic status factors is modeled and analyzed. The analysis results show that social support, lifestyle, and socioeconomic status have an important impact on the health of the elderly,of which the socioeconomic status and lifestyle have the most significant impact on the health of the elderly. The level of education has proved to be closely related to occupation and income in existing research. The higher the education level, the higher the income level, the stronger the health promotion effect, and the better the self-evaluation health status.Secondly,an intermediary effect test model is proposed by considering lifestyle and social support indicators. It was found that the impact of socioeconomic status on self-evaluation health can be adjusted, that is,there is an intermediary effect.Among them, indicators such as pension insurance, social activities, and child, visits are part of the intermediary, and children’s contact indicators are complete intermediary.Thirdly, based on the above conclusions, the influence mechanism of social support, lifestyle, and socioeconomic status on the health of the elderly is analyzed, the feasible suggestions for promoting the health of the elderly is furtherly explored. In conclusion, the thesis obtained the health impact mechanism of the elderly under the intervention of intermediary effect, and finally proposed to encourage the elderly to participate in social activities;improve the insurance system and the level of security;refuse tobacco and alcohol, pursue a healthy lifestyle;based on intermediary effects, systematically respond to health risks.Through the rational use of the intermediary effects among health influencing factors, the goal of comprehensively promoting the improvement of the health of the elderly can be achieved.
