| Background:Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes(TILs)are considered to play an important role in tumor-related immune responses, and more and more evidence shows that TILs and their subtypes of TILs have great value in breast cancer related research. Methods: The primary invasive breast cancer specimens of 112 patients with complete relevant pathologic information were sliced.HE(hematoxylin-eosin)staining and related CD3,CD4,CD8 immunohistochemistry were performed. The count of CD3,CD4,CD8 tumor infiltrating T-lymphocyte and TILs level had been estimated.Tumor diameter, lymph node metastasis status,HER2,ER,PR,Ki-67,typing of breast cancer and prognosis were studied in correlation,P value less than0.05 was statistically significant. Results: The results of the present study demonstrated that low levels of TILs are associated with hormone receptor–positive, low Ki-67 expression, and the levels of TILs are associated with breast cancer molecular typing. All types of TILs in this study, the counts are positively correlated with the level of TILs.The high CD3+TILs count was correlated with high Ki-67 and HER2 expression. The low count of CD4+ TILs was correlated with hormone receptor–positive. There were differences in the group of luminal A breast cancer and TNBC.Low CD8+ TILs count is associated with low expression of Ki-67 and HER2,positive expression of ER and PR.The high count of CD4+ and CD8+ tumor infiltrating T lymphocyte is significantly associated with no lymph node metastasis. Conclusions: This study found that the levels of TILs and the counts of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+ tumor infiltrating T lymphocyte were related to some clinicopathological elements,of which TILs levels,CD4+ tumor infiltrating T lymphocyte counts were also related to molecular typing.CD4+ and CD8+ tumor infiltrating T lymphocyte counts were significantly correlated with no lymph node metastasis,we considered that the higher the CD4 + and CD8 + tumor infiltrating T lymphocyte counts indicated the better prognosis. |
