Background:The elderly people with MCI are at high risk of dementia,while NPS are considered as independent risk factors for the development of MCI.If NPS is not treated in a timely manner,it will accelerate the development of MCI to dementia.it is very important to intervene in NPS of MCI population early.Nostalgic therapy is the most commonly used psychosocial intervention in dementia research.It conforms to the patient’s experience and life world,prompts the patient to regain familiarity and happiness,and has a positive impact on the mood and quality of life of patients with cognitive impairment.The intergenerational reminiscence programme led by college students is to promote the implementation of the nostalgia project based on the establishment of non-family-level intergenerational relationships.Older people are more receptive.college students as informal care resources available to the elderly in elderly care institutions have been provided.Objective:1.To analysis the current status of NPS of the elderly with MCI in nursing home in Nanjing,and analyze the influencing factors.2.To explore the effects of intergenerational reminiscence programs intervention on the NPS of elderly with MCI in nursing home.Method:1.A self-designed general data questionnaire,Neuropsychiatric InventoryQuestionnaire,the Medical outcomes study social support survey and 12-item Short-Form Health Survey were used to interview 166 elderly with MCI in 9 nursing home in Nanjing.To analyze the status and related influencing factors of NPS in the elderly with MCI.2.From March to June 2019,it is convenient to select a large-scale elderly care institution in Nanjing as a research place,There were 62 elderly with MCI that was selected lists of the two residential buildings were placed in sealed envelopes,and the non-subject members randomly selected the envelopes to determine the control group and the intervention group.The control group received daily care and routine activities.In addition to the routine care,the intervention group also received the intervention of the intergenerational reminiscence program for 10 weeks,once a week for 45-60 minutes.The data was analyzed for the two groups of elderly before the intervention,after 5 weeks of intervention,and after 10 weeks of intervention.Result:1.Of the 166 elderly people with MCI who were included in the survey,122 elderly with MCI were accompanied with NPS,the incidence was 73.5%.Depression,anxiety,irritability,and apathy were the highest accompanied by NPS,with the rates of 44.6%,35.5%,34.3%,and 21.7%.Logistic regression analysis showed that medical social support and leisure activities were factors for NPS(P <0.05).The score of NPI-Q was negatively correlated with PCS and MCS of SF-12(r =-0.318,P<0.001;r =-0.509,P <0.001).2.A total of 59 people with MCI who were included,30 in the control group and 29 in the intervention group,the baseline of general information and health-related information,and the four observation indication in the two groups with MCI before the intervention is comparable.At the time of 5-week and 10-week,the self-esteem score and SF-12 with MCI in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group(P <0.001).The depression scores and the scores of the severity of NPS in the intervention group were lower than another group(P <0.001).Conclusion:1.NPS are more common in the elderly with MCI in the nursing home,and low medical social support and non-participation in leisure activities are the influencing factors for the occurrence.2.Intergenerational reminiscence program improves the severity of NPS and self-assessment of depression in elderly with MCI,increase self-esteem and psychological aspects of quality of life.
