Objective:To study the relationship between TCM constitution distribution and quality of life in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD)at stable stage.Plateau COPD patients with different constitution types and generally(gender, age, course of the disease, last year the number of exacerbations,BMI,smoking status, with chronic diseases)and the difference of the correlation, and further analyzed the influence factors of health, for COPD physical features of traditional Chinese medicine research and improve the stability of traditional Chinese medicine COPD provides the theory basis for the quality of life. Methods:Patients with stable COPD who were admitted to Fuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Fujian University of Chinese Medicine from February 2020 to February 2021 and met the criteria were selected. The TCM Constitution Classification and Judgment Table,COPD Assessment Test and general information(gender, age, course of disease, number of acute exacerbations last year,BMI,smoking status and complicated chronic diseases)of the patients were collected by questionnaire.Chi-square test, rank sum test, variance test and Logistic regression were used for statistical analysis using SPSS 23.0statistical software.Results:1.The constitution distribution characteristics of patients with stable COPD: the included patients with stable COPD were mainly biased constitutions(71.51%).Among the biased constitutions, the main biased constitutions were: Yang deficiency,qi deficiency, blood stasis,phlegm-dampness,and damp-heat.2.Quality of life(CAT scale): CAT scores of stable COPD patients ranged from 10 to40,with differences in CAT scores among different constitutionality(P<0.05).Quality of life of stable COPD patients was affected from high to low by blood stasis,Yang deficiency,qi deficiency, phlegm dampness, and dampness and heat,respectively.3.General physical condition:(1)Age distribution(P<0.05): it was mainly distributed in 61-80 years old.The age distribution of each constitution was blood stasis,Yang deficiency,qi deficiency,phlegm-dampness and damp-heat in order from high to low.(2)Distribution of disease course(P<0.05): the average duration of disease course of each constitution from long to short was blood stasis,Yang deficiency,qi deficiency, phlegm dampness and dampness-heat.With the increase of disease course,Yang deficiency and blood stasis were more easily formed.(3)The number of acute exacerbations last year(P < 0.05): the number of acute exacerbations of each constitution last year from high to low was Yang deficiency, blood stasis,Qi deficiency,dampness-heat,phlegm and dampness.Yang deficiency, blood stasis and Qi deficiency were more prone to acute exacerbations.(4)BMI index(P<0.05): the order of BMI from high to low was phlegm-dampness,dampness-heat,blood stasis,qi deficiency,Yang deficiency,phlegm-dampness and dampness-heat stable COPD patients were mainly overweight.(5)Smoking index(P<0.05): the proportion of Yang deficiency and qi deficiency was higher than that of high smoking index(>400 cigarettes per year).(6)with chronic diseases(P < 0.05): in the distribution of chronic diseases, with hypertension,Yang deficiency, blood stasis,qi deficiency, phlegm dampness in the majority; The phlegm and dampness,Qi deficiency and dampness and heat were more common in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The blood stasis,yang-deficiency and qi-deficiency of patients with coronary heart disease were in the majority.4.Influential factors of physique(P<0.05): Logistic regression analysis showed that:(1)Influential factors of physique of patients with Yang deficiency were smoking index(Wald=7.373)and BMI(Wald=6.437)in descending order;(2)The influencing factors of QD-QD patients were chronic disease(Wald=10.984)and age(Wald=5.681).Conclusion:1.Most patients with stable COPD are biased in physical distribution. The main biased constitutions are: Yang-deficiency,Qi-deficiency,blood stasis,damp-heat,phlegm-dampness.2.In this study, the quality of life of COPD patients in stable phase was significantly affected by the disease, and the quality of life in the main bias constitution was affected from high to low by blood stasis,Yang deficiency,qi deficiency, phlegm and dampness, and dampness and heat respectively3.Yang-deficiency quality is affected by smoking index and BMI index, and it is prone to acute exacerbation;patients with Qi-deficiency quality are prone to acute exacerbation because of age and chronic diseases.
