Objective: To explore the clinical characteristic of nasopharyngeal lymphoma patients and to determine the predicting value of pretreatment NLR,PLR and LMR in prognosis and treatment effect. Methods: Complete clinical data of 57 nasopharyngeal lymphoma patients were collected in this retrospective analysis, compared with nasal lymphoma in the same period, and the clinical characteristics, treat effects and follow-ups were analyzed. We used ROC curve to determine the optimal cut-off value and chi-square test and nonparametric test to statistical analysis. Results: Compared with nasal lymphoma, nasopharyngeal lymphoma had more cervical lymph node metastasis(P=0.0001),but less nasal obstruction(P=0.0001)and epistaxis(P=0.0001).Nasopharyngeal lymphoma was common in order population than nasal lymphoma, with less IPI score 0-2 points,Ann Arbor stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ and NK/T cell lymphoma.Nasopharyngeal lymphoma 5-year progression-free survival rate and overall survival rate were 25% and 39.1%,respectively,there was no statistical difference between nasal lymphoma and nasopharyngeal lymphoma. There was a statistical difference in progression-free survival rate and overall survival rate between IPI score 0-2 points and 3-5 points,Ann Arbor stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ and Ⅲ-Ⅳ,high and low LMR group, with better prognosis in former. The treatment effective rate in the low NLR group was higher than high NLR group. Conclusions : There were differences in clinical characteristics between nasopharyngeal lymphoma and nasal lymphoma.Low NLR predicted more sensitivity to treatment.Low IPI score, low Ann Arbor stage and high LMR predicted better progression-free survival rate and overall survival rate in nasopharyngeal lymphoma.
