Objective:To explore the influencing factors of the postoperative mechanical ventilation time in children with congenital esophageal atresia Methods:The clinical data of congenital esophageal atresia treated in the Department of Neonatal surgery of Jiangxi Children’s Hospital from January 2015 to December 2019 were collected.Record the child’s sex, gestational age, birth weight, age of diagnosis after birth, concomitant malformation, classification of esophageal atresia, distance between the blind end of esophagus, pulmonary infection before operation, mode of ventilation before operation, age of operation, duration of operation, mode of operation, starting time of postoperative enteral nutrition, postoperative sedation and analgesia, postoperative albumin, postoperative blood transfusion, postoperative respiratory complications, postoperative anastomotic complications,Time of postoperative mechanical ventilation, etc. The factors affecting the time of postoperative mechanical ventilation in children with congenital esophageal atresia were screened by retrospective analysis. Results:From January 2015 to December 2019,a total of 91 cases of congenital esophageal atresia were treated by the same surgeon in our hospital. All surgical methods are thoracoscopic surgery.15 cases were excluded from delayed one-stage operation,4 cases gave up treatment after operation,1 case died after operation,and71 cases were included in the study. There were 43 males and 28 females. The average gestational age was 38.06±1.94 weeks, and 13 cases were premature. The average birth weight was 2.70±0.49 kg.The average time of postoperative mechanical ventilation was 94.85±57.04 h.According to statistics, postoperative sedation and analgesia, postoperative respiratory complications and the distance between the blind ends of the esophagus are the factors affecting the time of postoperative mechanical ventilation in children with congenital esophageal atresia, which can explain 49.2%of all factors. Conclusion:Postoperative sedation and analgesia, postoperative respiratory complications and the distance between the blind end of esophagus are the factors affecting the time of postoperative mechanical ventilation in children with congenital esophageal atresia.
