| Objectives:1.To investigate the self-disclosure,intimate relationship and fear of cancer recurrence of breast cancers and their spouses;2.To analyze the influencing factors of fear of cancer recurrence in breast cancer patients and spouses;3.To explore the binary interaction of self-disclosure on fear of cancer recurrence with breast cancer patients and their spouses, based on actor-partner interdependence model. Methods:A cross-sectional design was used in this study.Convenience sampling was conducted to recruit 220 dyads of breast cancer patients and their spouses from two hospital in Baoding provine between May 2020 and November 2020.The data were collected with General demographic questionnaire,Distress disclosure index,Short marital adjustment and prediction test,Fear of progression questionnaires for patients/partners.SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 24.0were used to analyze the data,Multivariate linear regression analysis was used to determine the influencing factors of fear of cancer recurrence with breast cancer patients and their spouses,actor-partner interdependence model was used to explore the binary interaction of self-disclosure on fear of cancer recurrence.Results:1.The total score of self-disclosure,intimate relationship, fear of cancer recurrence of breast cancer patients was(37.92±10.32),(106.43±19.72),and(29.50±8.07),respectively.The total score of self-disclosure,intimate relationship, fear of cancer recurrence of spouses was(33.36 ± 9.50),(110.77 ± 17.55),and(29.62 ± 5.86)respectively.There were no significant differences in scores for fear of cancer recurrence between breast cancer patients and caregivers(P>0.05),but the scores of self-disclosure and intimate relationship were significant differences(P<0.001).2.The results of univariatc analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in age, educational level, working status, marriage age, family monthly income, number of children, knowledge of disease in fear of cancer recurrence of breast cancer patients. There were statistically significant differences in age, educational level, marriage age in fear of cancer recurrence of spouses(both P<0.05).3.Pearson correlation analysis showed that breast cancer patients’ self-disclosure,intimate relationship were negatively correlated with fear of cancer recurrence;spouses’ self-disclosure was positively correlated with intimate relationship, and spouses’ self-disclosure was negatively correlated with fear of cancer recurrence. The self-disclosure of breast cancer patients was positively correlated with the spouse’s self-disclosure,and negatively correlated with the spouse’s fear of cancer recurrence.Patients’ intimate relationship was positively correlated with spouse’s self-disclosure and intimate relationship. The patient’s fear of cancer recurrence was positively correlated with the spouse’s(both P<0.05).4.Multivariate linear regression of influencing factors of fear of cancer recurrence of breast cancer patients showed that age, family monthly income,self-disclosure and intimate relationship were the influencing factors;Multivariate linear regression of influ encing factors of fear of cancer recurrence of spouses showed that age, marriage age, educational level and self-disclosure were the influencing factors(P<0.05).5.The actor-partner interdependence model showed that the actor effects of self-disclosure on fear of cancer recurrence of both breast cancer patients and spouses were statistically significant(P<0.05),but there were no statistically significant of partner ef fect for both patients and spouses(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.Both breast cancer patients and spouses have high level fear of cancer recurrence, and low self-disclosure,but the intimate relationship are good.2.Age,family monthly income,self-disclosure and intimate relationship are important factors influcncing the fear of cancer recurrence in breast cancer patients;Age,marriage age, educational level and self-disclosure are important factors influcncing the fear of cancer recurrence in spouses.3.Self-disclosure of breast cancer patients and their spouses can influence their own fear of cancer recurrence, but can not influence the others. |
