Objective: To analyze the diameter of renal aorta in the lower abdomen of pregnant women with perilous placenta previa in our hospital, and to study its guiding significance for the size of preset balloon. Methods: A total of 40 pregnant women with perilous placenta previa who underwent abdominal main balloon preset were selected from our hospital from 2016 to2020.The mean inner diameter(maximum anteroposterior diameter and transverse diameter)of the renal inferior abdominal aorta was measured by preoperative MRI,and the table was made according to different age groups.Pearson correlation coefficient was used to evaluate the correlation between renal inferior abdominal aorta diameter and blood pressure,BMI and BSA.Results: In pregnant women with placenta previa, the mean diameter of the inferior renal aorta at the level of L2~L3 vertebral body was 12.75±0.88 mm.There was no significant change in the diameter of the aorta in the lower renal abdomen with the increase of age(P >0.05).The diameter of the subrenal aorta was positively correlated with blood pressure,BMI and BSA.Conclusion: The diameter of abdominal aorta in pregnant women with dangerous placenta previa has nothing to do with age,but is positively correlated with blood pressure,BMI and BSA.The size of balloon implantation can be estimated according to the patient’s blood pressure and BSA when the low abdominal aorta balloon catheter is used to block massive abdominal and pelvic hemorrhage during cesarean section in clinical situations that need to reduce X-ray irradiation or in emergency situations.
