| Objective:Objective to investigate the prevalence of food impaction and oral health among adults aged 35-74 in Taiyuan,Shanxi Province,and analyze its influencing factors.To study the relationship between oral health and food impaction,and improve the epidemiological data of food impaction and oral health among adults aged 35-74,so as to provide scientific basis for targeted oral health intervention among adults in Shanxi Province and reduce the harm of food impaction.Methods:Based on the first oral health epidemiological survey in Shanxi Province,720 people aged 35-74 were selected by stratified,random and equal volume sampling method from September 2018 to June 2019 in Taiyuan city for questionnaire survey.The subjects included four age groups:35-44 years old,45-54 years old,55-64 years old and 65-74 years old.The questionnaire included general information,oral health information,motivation,behavior skills and the prevalence of food impaction.Epidata3.1 was used to build the database,spss20.0 software was used for statistical analysis,mainly using chi square test,t test,analysis of variance,correlation analysis,binary logistic regression analysis and other statistical methods,P < 0.05 for significant difference.Results:The total prevalence of food impaction was 43.80%.The prevalence of food impaction varies by age,with the highest prevalence occurring in the 55-64 age group.People who brushed their teeth for 2-3 minutes had the lowest incidence of food impaction.Non-smokers have a lower incidence of food impaction than smokers.The average scores of oral health information,motivation and behavior skills were 17.28 ± 3.85,26.81 ± 5.54 and 28.85 ± 3.60 and the correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation among them(P < 0.05).Gender,age,education background,residence and income were the influencing factors of oral health.Logistic regression analysis showed that the prevalence of food impaction was significantly correlated with oral health behavior(P <0.05),but not with oral health knowledge and attitude(P > 0.05).Conclusion:1.The prevalence of food impaction was 43.80%.Age,brushing time and smoking were the influencing factors of food impaction.2.The oral health literacy of adults aged 35-74 years old is poor,and the average scores of oral health information are high,but the average scores of oral health motivation and behavioral skills are low.Therefore,oral health education and health promotion should be strengthened for adults aged 35-74 years old.3.The emphasis of oral health education strategies for different populations is different,which should be considered from multiple dimensions such as gender,age,education background,residence and economic income. |
