Purpose: We performed a retrospective study on the bacterial distribution characteristics of children who were diagnosed as bacterial bronchopneumonia in the People’s Hospital of Affiliated To Hubei University of Chinese Medicine.Provided reference for the diagnosis and treatment of children with bacterial bronchopneumonia.Method: Case for bacterial bronchopneumonia in the People’s Hospital of Affiliated To Hubei University of Chinese Medicine were studied. The retrospective analysis on the pathogen species, age and gender of patients,as well as the diagnosed years and seasons, were performed. Results: 1.4338 patients were included in the study,In each year, the incidence was highest in infancy, but the incidence in childhood was increasing year by year. The number of children is increasing year by year, among which the incidence rate of male children is higher than that of female children, with a ratio of 1.54:1.The annual increase in the number of male children is also higher than that of female children. The incidence seasons of bacterial bronchial pneumonia in children were mainly in winter and spring, accounting for 36.81%(1597/4338)and 24.55%(1065/4338),respectively.2.In 2733 cases, one or more kind of bacterial pathogen were detected and the positive rate was 63.02%(2733/4338).Among the identified pathogens, there were 1089(39.85%)strains of Gram-negative bacteria and 1096(40.11%)strains of Gram-positive bacteria. The detected Gram-negative bacteria including 464(16.98%)strains of cocci and 625(22.87%)strains of bacilli; All the detected Gram-positive bacteria were cocci and highest data were Streptococcus pneumoniae.A number of 548 children were infected with multiple pathogens, most of which were co-infected by Streptococcus pneumoniae and other bacterial pathogens, accounting for 76.82% of the multiple infected patients.3.The analysis result of patients in different years indicated that more Gram-negative bacteria was detected and there were more patients infected with a single kind of pathogen than multiple. The results comparing patients of different seasons and ages were similar, both showed that more patients were infected by Gram-negative bacteria, but no significant difference on the mono-pathogen and multi-pathogen infection. In the patients of different gender,no difference on the detection rate of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria was observed, neither the difference on the mono-pathogen and multi-pathogen infection. Conclusion: 1.The number of children hospitalized with bacterial bronchopneumonia in Shiyan city increased year by year, and most patient were infancy and early childhood.More male patients were diagnosed than the female. The proportion of infancy patients showed an increasing trend. There were more patients with ganglionic bronchial pneumonia in spring and winter than that in summer and autumn.2.Gram-positive bacteria were more infected than Gram-negative bacteria in bacterial bronchopneumonia. The most common bacteria were Streptococcus pneumoniae, followed by Haemophilus influenzae,Moraxella catarrhiae,Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.Multiple pathogenic bacteria infections were observed.3.The detection rate of Gram-positive bacteria was higher than that of Gram-negative bacteria in different years, and the detection rate of Gram-negative bacteria showed a fluctuating upward trend from 2015 to 2019.There were more children with single infection than with multiple infection.4.The detection results of Gram-negative bacteria and Gram-positive bacteria in different seasons were statistically significant, and the detection rate of Gram-positive bacteria was the highest in winter, while the detection results of single infection and multiple infection were not related to the season.5.Gram-negative bacteria and Gram-positive bacteria were found to be the highest in infancy, and the results of single infection and multiple infection were not related to age.6.There was no correlation between gender with Gram-positive or negative bacteria, neither with the mono-pathogen nor multi-pathogen infection.
