Objective:The purpose of this study is to understand the current status of pregnant women knowledge,attitude,practice and health education needs about preconception care in Taiyuan,explore the factors affecting preconception care knowledge,attitude and practice.And provide a theoretical basis to set off preconception care services for reproductive population in Taiyuan,thereby changing attitudes and improving Knowledge awareness rate,forming a healthy lifestyle,and providing a new theoretical basis for improving the health of women and children.Methods:This study is a cross-sectional survey,using convenience sampling method,selecting 1116 pregnant women who were registered for the first prenatal examination at Childre’s Hospital/Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital of Shanxi Province from July to October 2019 for face-to-face questionnaire survey.The content of the questionnaire includes three parts: general demographic characteristics,preconception care knowledge attitude and behavior,and health education needs.EpiData3.1 software was used to establish the database,and SPSS 22.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis.Measurement data such as scores were described by mean ±standard deviation,enumeration data such as pass rate were described by rate or constituent ratio.univariate analysis uses The chi-square test was used for univariate analysis,method,and binary Logistic regression analysis was used for multivariate analysis.Results:1.The scores of preconception care knowledge,attitude and practice of pregnant women in Taiyuan were 11.5 ± 1.9,6.5 ± 1.4,3.8 ± 1.6,and the passing rates were66.4%,74.6%,38.2%.2.The best knowledge of the respondents was the need to take folic acid supplements before pregnancy(98.0%),and the worst knowledge was the drugs to cause fetal deformities(23.2%).The most positive ones were folic acid supplementation before pregnancy(91.2%),and the least positive ones were vaccine-related before pregnancy(15.1%).The best behavior was rational drug use before pregnancy(81.9%),and the worst was related vaccination before pregnancy(2.9%).3.Logistic regression analysis showed that age,occupation,annual income,being the first child in this pregnancy,planned pregnancy,and living with elders were the influencing factors of preconception care knowledge(P<0.05).Age,education level,family annual income,planned pregnancy,living with elders,attitude to health care before pregnancy during the first pregnancy(P<0.05);Age,educational level,family annual income,planned pregnancy,the first child in this pregnancy,adverse pregnancy outcome,close relatives and medical workers were the influencing factors of preconception care behavior(P<0.05).4.The most urgent need for preconception care knowledge was nutrition knowledge,and the least need for psychological knowledge.The main ways for pregnant women to acquire relevant knowledge were the Internet(We Chat,microblog,official website),relatives and friends,and free publicity materials.The main ways to acquire knowledge were medical staff,the Internet(We Chat,microblog,official website),free publicity materials,etc.Conclusion:1.Pregnant women in Taiyuan have a more positive attitude towards preconception care,and lack of comprehensive knowledge,which limits the transformation from knowledge to behavior.2.The factors that affect preconception care knowledge,attitudes,and behaviors are different.Age,family annual income and planned pregnancy all have influence on knowledge,attitude and behavior of preconception care.Occupation,being the first child in this pregnancy,and living with the elders are the influencing factors of knowledge.Education level,living with elders and first pregnancy are the influential factors of attitude.Education level,the first pregnancy,adverse pregnancy outcomes,close relatives and health care workers are the influencing factors.3.There is a high demand for preconception care related knowledge.There are differences between the actual and expected ways of acquiring eugenics knowledge of the respondents.4.In the future pre-pregnancy health education,targeted education will be given to people with different characteristics.Attention should be paid to the comprehensiveness and scientificity of health education knowledge.Through various channels to carry out health education,including the network and medical personnel,free publicity materials and other traditional channels.Improve the efficiency of health education and promote prenatal and postnatal care.
