| Objective:To study the predictive value of plasma levels of 18 KDa translocation protein(TSPO)and allopregnanolone(AP)in postpartum depression(PPD)before and after delivery. Methods:One hundred singleton pregnant women who were delivered in hospital in obstetrics were screened by Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9)to rule out the possibility of prenatal depression.Within one week after delivery, the Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale(EPDS)was used to evaluate whether women had depression within one week after delivery.According to the EPDS score≥10,the patients were divided into depression group and non-depression group. There were 14 patients in depression group and 86 in non-depression group. The general data of the two groups were compared, and the changes of plasma levels of TSPO and AP in the two groups before and after delivery were compared. The significant variables between the two groups were analyzed by binary Logistic regression analysis. It was concluded that the plasma levels of TSPO and AP after delivery were the risk factors of PPD.The Receiver operating characteristics(ROC)curve of subjects’ working characteristics was used to analyze the predictive value of plasma content of TSPO and AP in the occurrence of PPD within one week after delivery. Results:In this study, the incidence of postpartum depression was 14%,and there was no statistical difference in the general information between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the plasma contents of TSPO and AP between the two groups before delivery(P>0.05).After delivery, the plasma contents of TSPO and AP in depressed group were lower than those in non-depressed group(P<0.05).Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that TSPO plasma content(OR=0.807,95%CI 0.652 ~ 1.000,P=0.049)and AP plasma content(OR=0.866,95%CI 0.761 ~ 0.985,P=0.029)were risk factors for PPD after delivery.ROC analysis results showed that when TSPO content was18.66 ng/m L after delivery and AP content was 36.72 ng/m L after delivery, the sensitivity and specificity were 34.9% and 37.9%,respectively.The areas under the AUC curve were 0.656 and 0.711,respectively.There was no statistically significant difference in the areas under the AUC curve(P>0.05).Conclusion:The plasma levels of TSPO and AP before delivery had no significant predictive or diagnostic value for depression within one week after delivery, but the plasma levels of TSPO and AP after delivery had guiding significance for the prediction and diagnosis of depression within one week after delivery. |
