Therapeutic Effect Of Tongdu Tiaoshen Acupuncture Combined With Donepezil Treatment Of Mild Cognitive Impairment In Parkinson’s Disease

ObjectiveThis topic combined the my teacher’s clinical practice and experience for anout tweenty years,and observes the changes of Tongdu Tiao Shen acupuncture method combined with Donepezil on mild cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s disease and compared with the control group just taking Donepezil alone,in order to supply a relevant certain basis for the promoting of this treatment method in clinical extension application.MethodsIn this study,we make The 60 patients who troubled with mild cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s disease were classified as 30 patients in the control group and 30 patients in the treatment group,and each group was given the corresponding basic treatment.In both groups.And then donepezil was continued at the original dose of everyone patient during the follow-up period.We assesse every patient’s cognitive evaluation(MMSE,Mo CA),Parkinson’s disease condition evaluation(UPDRS-III),and quality of life evaluation(PDQ-39 questionnaire)were performed before treatment,at the end of the 12 th week of treatment,and at the follow-up visit after 3months,respectively,to evaluate and record the points and some unusual harmful reactions happen to the patients.Results1.Baseline data:In the study before we treat those patients as required by the experimental design.the basic conditions:This includes the following points,There were no significant differences in gender,age,duration of Parkinson’s disease,H-Y classification,and average daily levodopa dose of everyone patient.2.Effective rate of this two group:the effective rate was calculated after 12 weeks of treatment by the change of MMSE score.The results of our statistical analysis show that86.7% in the treatment group and 56.7% in the control group,which was significantly higher in the treatment group than in the control group.It is therefore reasonable to assume that indicating that both groups could effectively increase the patients’ socre of mild cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s disease,but the efficacy of acupuncture combined with donepezil was better in this study.3.Cognitive scale scores: The cognitive evaluations(MMSE,Mo CA)of both groups were significantly improved after treatment and at follow-up compared with those before treatment,there is no difference,ready for the next step of comparison.And we statistically derived the difference was significant in the treatment group compared with the control group.It is therefore reasonable to assume that indicating that both groups could effectively improve the scores of the two scales,and the efficacy of Tongdu Tiao Shen acupuncture method of Professor Zhang combined with donepezil was better.4.Parkinson’s disease condition severity evaluation: What we have analysed is the UPDRS-III score in the treatment group decreased significantly at the end of 12 weeks of treatment compared with that before treatment,and there was no significant difference in the score in the control group by comparing with that before treatment;at the follow-up after 3 months,the UPDRS-III score in both groups decreased significantly compared with that before treatment,and the difference between groups was significant.This indicate that the effect and long-term efficacy of acupuncture of Professor Zhang combined with donepezil is significantly better than that of eho just eat donepezil alone.5.Quality of life scores of patients:What we have analysed that PDQ-39 scores of every patient decreased significantly in two groups of people in my study at the end of the 12 th week of treatment and at the follow-up after 3 months compared with those scores before treatment,and the difference was significant in the treatment group compared with the control group.Therefore,we have good evidence that indicating that both groups could effectively improve patients’ quality of life,and the effect of acupuncture of this study combined with donepezil was significantly and long-term efficacy better than that of just taking donepezil alone.ConclusionBoth treatments can improve the symptoms of patients with mild cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s disease,and the combination of Tongdu Tiaoshen acupuncture method with donepezil has better improvement of patients’ scores in all aspects of the scale,has a certain safety profile,and has better long-term efficacy.The treatment method in this study can effectively improve patients’ cognitive condition,motor function,and quality of life.
