Objective: This study aims to observe the clinical efficacy of Shufeng Qingre Decoction combined with Xvjiang Xie’s Acupuncture Therapy for Pharyngitis of Wind-heat Type, and to explore its mechanism. Methods: We selected 90 eligible patients with wind-heat type acute pharyngitis who were treated at the Otorhinolaryngology Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2020 to October 2020 as the observation objects, and randomly divided them into 1:1:1 ratio.Acupuncture group, decoction group and acupuncture group. The three test groups had no difference in gender, age, course of disease, body mass index, various symptoms and signs scores before treatment, and they were comparable. The combination of acupuncture and medicine group used acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine decoction: taking Shufeng Qingre Decoction granules(composition:Nepeta,Parsnip,Burdock Seed,Licorice,Honeysuckle,Forsythia,Mulberry Bark,Red Peony,Platycodon,Scutellaria,Trichosanthes,Scrophulariaceae,Fritillaria),take once a day in the morning and evening.Acupuncture treatment: Acupuncture Hegu,Yanan 2,Yanan 1,Yanan 3,Kaiyin 1,Lianquan,and Fengchi in turn.Needle retention for 30 minutes, once a day.The acupuncture group was treated with acupuncture: the acupuncture method was the same as that of the acupuncture and medicine combination group. The decoction group was treated by simply taking Shufeng Qingre Decoction: the composition and administration of the decoction were the same as the acupuncture and medicine combination group.Course of treatment: Three groups of subjects were treated for 7 consecutive days.Observe the main symptoms and signs scores and total scores of each group before treatment,on the 3rd day of treatment, and on the 7th day of treatment. Results: The results of this test showed that the three groups of test groups were compared before and after the group, and it was found that the main symptoms, physical signs and total points of the three groups of subjects after treatment were significantly different(P are all less than 0.05)from those before treatment, which proved that the three therapies have an effect on Pharyngitis of Wind-heat Type. The main symptoms, physical sign scores, total scores, and clinical efficacy of the three test groups after 3 days of treatment were compared. It was found that the acupuncture-drug combination group had the best clinical efficacy(Total effective rate is 86.67%),and was superior to the other two groups in terms of mucosal congestion and overall score improvement. The main symptoms, physical signs and total scores and clinical efficacy of the three test groups after 7 days of treatment were compared between groups. It was found that the acupuncture group had the best clinical efficacy(Total effective rate is 100.00%)and was better than the other two groups in the improvement of main symptoms, signs and overall scores..In addition,at 3 days of treatment, the acupuncture group was better than the traditional Chinese medicine group in terms of improvement, total score, and clinical curative effect on sore throat, but there was no difference between the two groups after 7 days, indicating that acupuncture alone can improve sore throat and clinical curative effect in a short period of time.Compared with simple Chinese medicine treatment, but the long-term effect is the same;the decoction combination group improves the pharyngeal congestion score better than the acupuncture group at 7 days of treatment, indicating that the long-term curative effect of Chinese medicine decoction is better than pure acupuncture in improving the pharyngeal congestion. There were no adverse events in the three test groups, which proved that combined acupuncture and medicine therapy, decoction therapy alone, and acupuncture therapy alone have high safety. Conclusion: Through this research,it can be concluded that:1.Compared with decoction treatment and acupuncture treatment,Combination therapy of acupuncture and TCM has more advantages in short-term and long-term symptom improvement and clinical efficacy;2.Combination therapy of acupuncture and TCM,Chinese medicine decoction treatment, and acupuncture treatment are all effective therapies for the treatment of wind-heat type acute pharyngitis;3.Acupuncture alone has a stronger effect on alleviating sore throat in the short term than decoction treatment, which may be related to the analgesic effect of acupuncture;decoction treatment improves pharyngeal congestion for a long time than the acupuncture group, which may be compared with traditional Chinese medicine decoction Regulating the body’s blood and yin and yang;4.Combination therapy of acupuncture and TCM is safe and has no adverse reactions;5.Combination therapy of acupuncture and TCM is a combination therapy of traditional Chinese medicine internal and external treatment.Acupuncture treats the symptoms, regulates qi and blood from the outside, and strengthens the qi;decoction cures the root cause, reconciles the functions of internal organs, and eliminates evil qi.The combination of the two, both internal and external, taking into account the specimens, provides a new pure Chinese medicine program for the treatment of wind-heat type acute pharyngitis.
