ObjectiveTo explore the detection rate and anastomosis of non-invasive Prenatal Testing(NIPT)and invasive Prenatal diagnosis in pregnant women of different ages, and to explore the most appropriate Prenatal screening methods for pregnant women of different ages.MethodsA total of 66,302 pregnant women were enrolled in this retrospective study, according to the age of pregnant women, the pregnant women were divided into the appropriate age group(< 35 years old),the senior age group(35-39 years old),and the super-senior age group(≥40 years old). The probability of fetal chromosomal abnormalities was analyzed and compared among the three groups. The pregnant women in the senior age group(35-39 years old)were compared within the group year by year according to their increasing age.ResultsWith the full implementation of the two-child policy, the proportion of senior age pregnant women increases, and the proportion of pregnant women who directly choose NIPT also increases year by year. There were statistically significant differences in the abnormal rate of NIPT among the three groups(1.120% vs 1.562% vs 3.863%,P < 0.05).Year by year intra-group comparison of pregnant women in the senior age group showed that the incidence of fetal chromosomal abnormalities was significantly increased in pregnant women aged 39 years or older, and the difference was statistically significant compared with pregnant women under 39 years old.ConclusionsThe risk of fetal chromosomal abnormalities is significantly increased in older women aged 39 years and older, and invasive prenatal diagnosis is recommended as a priority.
