Clinical Efficacy Of Blepharoplasty With Orbicularis Oculi Myocutaneous Flap Reserved

Objective:To explore the clinical application and to provide an easy-handle technique for double eyelid blepharoplasty with natural and smart shape for clinical reference,we compared and analyzed clinical therapeutic effect between blepharoplasty with orbicularis oculi myocutaneous flap reserved and traditional double eyelid surgery.Methods:A total of 100 patients were selected,who underwent bilateral double eyelid blepharoplasty in the plastic surgery department of the hospital from June 2019 to January 2020.They were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 50 subjects in each.The subjects in observation group received blepharoplasty with orbicularis oculi myocutaneous flap reserved,while the patients in the control group received traditional double eyelid surgery.The eyelid swelling at different time,the scar of incision,the shape of double eyelid,satisfaction of patients and complications postoperatively were compared and analyzed between two groups.Results:The swelling scores of the observation group at days 1,2,3 and 4 and weeks 1,2,3 and 4 postoperatively were lower than those in the control group(P < 0.05).The scores of incision scar and double eyelid shape in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at 6 months postoperatively(P < 0.05).The satisfaction scores of the observation group were higher than those in the control group at 1 and 6 months Postoperatively(P < 0.05).The incident rate for shallow fold in the observation group was higher than that in the control group and the“stepped” appearance incident rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group at 6 months postoperatively(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in bilateral asymmetry of the double eyelid creases between two groups at 6 months postoperatively(P > 0.05).Conclusions:Blepharoplasty with orbicularis oculi myocutaneous flap reserved has the advantages of less swelling,quicker recovery,lower scar scores postoperatively,more natural and smart double eyelid shape,simple operation steps,which is worthy of promotion.However,the incidence of shallow fold was high in patients with puffy upper eyelid.in order to provide a perfect treatment method,we should grasp the right indications about this blepharoplasty.
