Sleep is closely related to human health,in recent years,with the gradual increase of the life pressure,people from various industries have varying degrees of sleep problems.Therefore,the devices for sleep monitoring at home have a growing market.The traditional polysomnography devices have limitations such as expensive and complicated operations,and are not suitable for home use;The sleep monitoring bracelet on the market can be used to evaluate the quality of home sleep,but their assessment indicators are too single evaluation index and have large errors and so on.In order to solve the above problems,this study designs a sleep monitoring device based on fiber optical sensing,which can evaluate the quality of sleep through respiratory rate,heart rate and body movement.It can also be used to diagnose sleep abnormalities such as apnea,hypopnea and leg movement.The sleep monitoring device designed in this study is mainly controlled by STM32,combined with ADS131E08 module conversion chip and blood oxygen acquisition chip to collect human oral and nasal respiration(oral and nasal temperature airflow,nasal pressure airflow),chest and abdomen respiration,heart rate,body movement,snoring,blood oxygen and surface electromyography,and communicate with the PC via USB to complete the data storage.In order to achieve a non-contact,low-interference sleep quality assessment,this study designs a plastic optical fiber(POF)pressure sensor,and proposes a good reliability cutting-POF technology suitable for mass production and improved measurement sensitivity.Meanwhile,an algorithm is designed to obtain respiration rate,heart rate and body movement.In order to simplify the sleep monitoring device,this study designs a circuit to realize that the POF pressure sensor which can work through Bluetooth alone,or on the original device,to achieve sleep quality assessment.At the last part of this thesis,the system is verified.We first verified the communication functions of Bluetooth and USB,and then focused on testing the POF pressure sensor.The experiments result indicate that the POF pressure sensor can detect respiration and heart rate values in different positions and postures and can distinguish four behavioral states related to sleep(on bed,lying,moving,and leaving bed),validation experiments on 10 participants showed that absolute error is less than once breath per minute and twice beats per minute.At last,a method of sleep quality assessment is proposed for the POF pressure sensor,and experiments have verified that the sleep monitoring device can be used for sleep quality assessment,apnea and hypopnea determination,and leg movement determination.
