As the aging situation continues to be severe,the number of people suffering from senile diseases such as Parkinson’s,cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,and strokes in my country is increasing,which not only brings heavy economic and spiritual burdens to the families of elderly patients,but also at the same time,it also seriously affects the physical and mental health of patients.According to medical and neurological rehabilitation research,it is found that the human brain has plasticity and can effectively restore the movement function of the affected limb through repeated and targeted rehabilitation exercises,and the patient’s active movement consciousness is also important for nerve recovery.However,the current traditional rehabilitation training mode is easily restricted by factors such as manpower,material resources,location,etc.,and the training mode is boring,and the elderly patients participate in the training with passive emotions.Virtual reality(VR),as a new human-computer interaction technology in the 21 st century,allows users to get different experiences immersively by constructing a virtual environment.Using virtual reality as a new rehabilitation strategy can effectively reduce the large consumption of human and material resources in traditional training modes.It provides new ideas for the physical rehabilitation of the elderly with upper limb movement disorders.However,the current target users of VR upper limb training programs are general groups,ignoring the physical and psychological characteristics of the elderly and their special needs for rehabilitation training programs,which leads to different degrees of recognition of the elderly during the training programs.Knowing the difficulties and operating burdens will affect their operating experience,training enthusiasm and rehabilitation effects.This article first analyzes and studies the composition of VR technology,its application fields,and upper extremity exercise rehabilitation,and proposes the effectiveness and positive significance of VR technology in improving upper extremity motor function;through questionnaire surveys,user interviews,and domestic and foreign literature studies,it is found that the elderly Physical and mental characteristics and initially proposed the design strategy of the VR upper limb training project for the elderly,combined with upper limb kinematics analysis,daily life activities observation and other methods to extract the training task actions,and developed a combination of the Unity 3D virtual reality development engine and the Kinect somatosensory interactive device VR upper limb training game project for the elderly to use at home or in the elderly community and improve their experience of use;Finally,the feasibility test of the project design is carried out.This article aims to improve the experience of elderly patients in operating the upper limb training program,relying on VR technology and Kinect somatosensory interactive equipment,to research and analyze the human upper limb movement characteristics,daily life behaviors,the physiological characteristics,psychological characteristics of the elderly and their experience needs.Design a VR upper limb training game project for the elderly that can not only improve their operating experience but also satisfy their upper limb rehabilitation effects,so that the elderly can train and recover while playing.
