Cardiac insufficiency can cause palpitations,dyspnea and other phenomena.In severe cases,swelling of the lower limbs,pulmonary congestion,and even myocardial infarction may occur,which seriously affects the daily life of the patient.With the acceleration of the aging of the population and the increase in the incidence of various cardiovascular diseases,the number of elderly patients with heart failure(heart failure)and even young people with heart failure has been increasing year by year.At present,the clinical detection methods for cardiac insufficiency are expensive and complicated,and there are many limitations or deficiencies.How to use simple and quick methods and effective quantitative indicators to achieve early diagnosis of cardiac insufficiency diseases to reduce the rate of misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis,thereby improving the level of diagnosis and treatment.Based on the clinical principle that venous vascular return can indirectly reflect the condition of cardiac function,this paper proposes a method to quantify the changes of venous vascular return of the hand to achieve the preliminary diagnosis of cardiac insufficiency.The main contents of this paper are as follow:(1)Design and realization of detection device.Mainly selected the acquisition light source,image acquisition equipment and designed the hardware device to realize the acquisition of hand veins.According to the characteristics of the absorption spectrum of hand veins,the 940 nm near-infrared light source is selected as the collection light source.(2)The design of experimental schemes for the collection of blood flow characteristics of hand veins.Aiming at the key factors that affect the characteristics of venous blood flow in actual detection,such as: environmental temperature,tester’s state,posture,etc.,the detection scheme and related factors are studied and experimentally analyzed.(3)Processing and statistical analysis of venous blood vessel data.Through Matlab to realize the processing of venous blood vessel image data,the corresponding blood flow characteristic parameters are proposed,such as vein cross-sectional area(S1),venous cross-sectional reference area(S2),vein recovery rate(VACS_RSd),etc.;combined with the characteristic parameters,A comparative study and discussion analysis were carried out between people with cardiovascular disease and healthy people.Preliminary experimental result shows that the image-based detection method proposed in this paper can be used to quantify and evaluate cardiac function characteristics.For example,it can detect that the venous blood vessels expand after being stressed,and the blood vessel recovery rate of patients with cardiovascular diseases is slower.So as to realize the preliminary diagnosis of cardiac insufficiency.
