Object:Chronic knee pain is a common disease in pain clinics, accounting for about 30%of soft tissue pain.Initially for knee pain, dysfunction, severe will lead to stiffness and deformation, reduce the quality of life of patients, and relapse,it is difficult to cure. Some patients with chronic knee pain have undergone several treatments, such as intra-articular injection, closed physiotherapy, surgical treatment, and so on,has not yet achieved satisfactory results. In the treatment of soft tissue pain, silver needle heat conduction therapy has good treatment.Effectiveness, and gradually confirmed by clinicians. However, various scholars in the treatment of chronic knee pain, due to experience and academic differences, there are various of needle placement schemes for treating chronic knee pain. The accuracy and effectiveness of the silver needle placement scheme is the key factor to enhance the effect of silver needle heat conduction therapy.Medical infrared thermal imaging is used to collect radiation heat from human body, and record and reflect the temperature changes of the body.Follow the lower temperature display on the infrared thermography of chronic soft tissue pain, combine with traditional soft tissue surgery theories, accurately mark pain-causing tenderness points, and then perform silver needle heat conduction, observe the clinical effect of this method in treating chronic knee pain.Method:Collected cases of outpatient from 2012 to June 2015,we were diagnosed with chronic knee pain and treated with silver needle heat conduction therapy.Data of patients treated with silver needle heat conduction therapy were divided into composite groups according to whether the patients were treated with medical infrared thermography.Patients that treated with medical infrared thermography-guided and received silver needle heat conduction therapy were randomly selected and designated as compound group(group A);Patients that treated with silver needle heat conduction therapy which were guided by soft tissue tenderness points were randomly selected and designated as simple group(group B).Taking VAS and JOA scores as the main reference indicators, and according to the calculation formula of sample size of two groups of quantitative data, each group were needed 30 patients. They were randomly selected from the data for clinical comparison.Collected VAS and JOA scores at the time before treatment,in 1 weeks after treatment,in one month after treatment and in six months after treatment, then compared and analysis the scores.Main results:1.There was no statistical significance in the two groups of patients before treatment, and the VAS scores after treatment were all statistically significant. There was a decrease in pain symptoms, and there was a significant difference between before and after treatment(P<0.05).2.The JOA score of all patients increased, and the function of the knee joint was improved. There was a significant difference between before and after treatment(P<0.05).3.Recent curative effect: statistical analysis of two groups of patients in the first month after treatment follow-up VAS and JOA score, group A VAS Score(?)±SD2.43±0.50,group B VAS score(?)±SD3.43±0.50,group A JOA score(?)±SD75.5±5.31,group B JOA score(?)±SD69.2±4.56,and the results showed that the A group was superior to B group(P<0.05)in X score. The recent curative effect of group A was better than that of group B(P<0.05).4.Further-term effect: statistical analysis of two groups of patients in the sixth month after treatment follow-up VAS and JOA score, group A VAS score(?)±SD2.30±0.60,group B VAS score (?)±SD3.33±0.76,group A JOA score(?)±SD75.7±5.68,group B JOA score(?)±SD69.7±5.24,and the results showed that the group A was superior to group B(P<0.05)in X score. The further-term effect of group A was better than that of group B(P<0.05).Main conclusions:1.The VAS and JOA scores of the two groups were significantly changed after the treatment of chronic knee pain with silver needle heat conduction therapy. The pain and joint function of the patients were improved. It is an effective method to treat chronic knee pain.2.Silver needle heat conduction therapy guided with medical infrared thermography can effectively improve the efficiency of diagnosis and the accuracy of needle placement. The needle placement schemes assisted by medical infrared thermography is better than the traditional method, the pain relief effect and joint function recovery is better.3.The needle placement schemes assisted by medical infrared thermography is the optimization and improvement of silver needle heat conduction therapy.
