Purpose: To compare the differences of mandibular position, masticatory efficiency and patient satisfaction between two different maxillomandibular relationship recording methods.Materials and methods: Using self-control method, the K7 neuromuscular method and the gothic arch method were used to determine maxillomandibular relationship of 10 patients with edentulous to make two complete dentures.Comparing the difference of the vertical and sagittal position of the lower incisor jaw, mastication efficiency and patient’s satisfaction of the denture after restoration for one month between two different maxillomandibular relationship recording methods. Results: K7 neuromuscular method to determinate maxillomandibular relationship compared to gothic arch: 60% of patients got the vertical distance from the neuromuscular method less than the gothic arch method;the mandibular position obtained by the neuromuscular method was more anterior than the gothic arch method in 70% of patients;there was no significant difference in masticatory efficiency between the two(P>0.05);neuromuscular method to determine the mandibular position was more comfortable than gothic arch method(P<0.05).Conclusion: K7 neuromuscular method to determinate maxillomandibular relationship for making complete denture compared to gothic arch: the complete denture made by the mandibular position determined by K7 was more comfortable for patients, but there was no significant difference in masticatory efficiency between the two.Further study is needed.Purpose: The digital restoration method has been used to restore anterior aesthetic and occlusal reconstruction, and discussing the application of digital methods such as mandibular motion track in oral restoration.Materials and methods: Three patients who visited the Department of Prosthodontics of Fujian Medical University Affiliated Stomatological Hospital from October 2019 to December 2020 were collected as the case collection objects.According to the patient’s main complaint and their own conditions, applying mandibular motion track to dynamic occlusion design, digital restoration method have been used to restore anterior aesthetic and occlusal reconstruction. The application of virtual articulator and mandibular motion tracing technique in digital dental restoration were discussed. Results: The digital restoration method with mandibular motion track simplified the medical treatment process, reduced the number of patient visits and the time of chair-side occlusion adjustment. It also had the advantages of good precision and high patient comfort. The digital smile design and dynamic function design improved the predictability of the aesthetic and functional treatment of anterior teeth.Digital production adopted the method of replication to improve the production precision of prosthesis and simplify the cumbersome process of traditional production.Virtual articulator and mandibular motion tracing technology were applied occlusal reconstruction can visually analyze the static and dynamic occlusal contact in the process of mandibular movement for accurate design of the prosthesis. All patients were satisfied with the final repair effect. Conclusion: The application of digital virtual smile design and dynamic functional design ensured the aesthetic effect and functional state in the aesthetic restoration of the anterior teeth. The digital treatment method combined with virtual articulator and mandibular motion tracing technology can enhance the communication between dental team members and doctors and technicians.Realizing precise occlusal design through real simulation of movement in the mouth.
