Objective: The "5+3" integrated clinical medical undergraduates’ capability of scientific research and innovation evaluation index system was developed to improve the ability for scientific and innovation level of those students.A Delphi process was used to construct the index system and using analytic hierarchy process(AHP)calculated the weight of each indicator.Methods: 1.Through literature retrieval,system evaluation and other methods,combined with the current situation of the training,the basic framework of the index system was drawn up.2.Based on the Delphi method and conducting expert’s inquiry investigation,the boundary value method was used to filter the indexes.Combined with the expert’s opinions and the discussion of the research group,the final index system is established and the reliability analysis was carried out with the Delphi parameter.3.Using the method of AHP and the principle of probability multiplication,weight system of scientific research innovation ability’s evaluation index was established.4.The constructed index system is applied to investigation of the students.The result of scores were expressed by means and standard deviation and the survey data was conducted the reliability and validity test.Results: The effective recovery rates of the Delphi was 100%.Basing on the results of importance scoring,boundary value calculation methods combined with discussion in the research group were used to screen index and 16 indicators were deleted.The authority coefficient was 0.878 and the value of judgment coefficient and the expert familiarity were 0.968 and 0.787,respectively,which showed that the index system constructed in the study was effective.AHP was used to calculate the weight of the index.Ultimately,the evaluation index system for the "5+3" integrated clinical medical students’ capability of scientific research contained four indicators in grade 1,ten in grade 2 and thirty-three in grade 3.The overall Cronbach’α coefficient was0.914,and the values of each dimension were 0.942,0.629,0.573 and 0.847 respectively.In the structural validity test,the KMO value was 0.915,and the Bartlett spherical test showed that the E value was 4997.9,P < 0.01.The factor load of each item in its common factor was > 0.4,the minimum value was 0.417,and the maximum value was 0.871.In the evaluation of the basic ability of scientific research,the scores of literature reading and comprehensive ability,expression ability and ability to foresee the results are the lowest as well as the scores of language understanding ability,observation ability and perception are the highest.In the evaluation of scientific research motivation,85.9% of the students showed interest in scientific research,57.2% of the students agree that scientific research plays a very important role;in the evaluation of actual achievements,41.5% of the students showed their interest in scientific research.41.5% of students had no paper writing experience and 88.2% of the students had not tried to publish papers.In the evaluation of scientific research objective conditions,the school was active in stimulating scientific research activities and 50.5% of the students thought that the school had actively guided students to carry out scientific research activities.Conclusion: 1.This study established the "5+3" integrated clinical medical undergraduates’ capability of scientific research and innovation evaluation index system based on the method of Delphi and AHP,which included 4 first-grade indices,10 second-grade indices and 33 third-grade indices.Good result of analysis of Delphi made the index system scientific and reliable.2.Based on the index system,we designed the questionnaire and conducted an student survey.The questionnaire had been examined that the reliability and validity are good,which may make recommendations for the evaluation and cultivation on students’ capability of scientific research and innovation evaluation.3.The result of survey showed that schools should strengthen the training of the students’ ability in literature reading,induce students interests to scientific research participation,broaden the channels of information and increase the scale of investment of resources.
