| Objective: To compare the changes of quality of life in obese patients before and after weight loss metabolic surgery(MBS),and analyze the related factors affecting the quality of life of patients after operation,so as to provide a theoretical basis for better improving the quality of life of patients after weight-loss metabolic surgery. Methods: From October 2019 to October 2020,108 obese patients were selected from the Department of weight loss and metabolism of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University for MBS.Demographic data, clinical data,SF-36 scale and self rating Depression Scale were collected one day before operation, and follow-up data,SF-36 scale and social support scale were collected three months after operation. Results: 1.Three months after MBS,the total score of quality of life and each dimension score of obese patients were significantly improved: the total score of quality of life after MBS was(656.02 ± 105.96),in which the total score of physical health was(335.06 ±57.47)and the total score of mental health was(320.96 ± 57.10),which were higher than those before MBS(P< 0.001).2.The results of single factor analysis showed that there were significant differences in the impact of different per capita monthly income, partner status, gastric distension and preoperative depression on the total score of postoperative quality of life(P < 0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the total score of social support, including subjective support and utilization, had significant impact on the total score of postoperative quality of life. There was a significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).3.Multiple collinearity analysis showed that: monthly income per capita, partner status, gastric distension and depression were multiple correlated with the quality of life 3 months after MBS,and the multiple correlation coefficient was 0.685.4.The higher the per capita monthly income, the better the overall quality of life of MBS patients after 3 months, the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).5.Compared with the patients without partner, the patients with partner had better quality of life after MBS,especially in the physical function, overall health, vitality, emotional function and mental health, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).6.The quality of life of patients without gastric distension within 3 months after MBS was higher than that of patients with gastric distension, mainly in physiological function, physical pain, overall health, vitality and emotional function, the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).7.The preoperative depression of obese patients was negatively correlated with the physiological function, physiological function, overall health, vitality, social function, emotional function and mental health three months after MBS,that is,the higher the degree of preoperative depression, the worse the quality of life of patients after MBS,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: The quality of life of obese patients improved significantly 3 months after MBS.The higher the per capita monthly income, the higher the quality of life of patients3 months after MBS.The quality of life of patients with a partner was better than that of patients without a partner at 3 months after MBS.The quality of life of patients without gastric distension 3 months after MBS was better than that of patients with gastric distension. The lower the degree of preoperative depression, the better the quality of life of patients 3 months after MBS. |
