| Objective:Bladder dysfunction is the bladder compliance decline, detrusor instability and detrusor dysfunction as the characteristics, sensitivity and the decline in compliance with bladder caused by initial urinate capacity and the maximum bladder capacity increased to different extent, urinary frequency, urgency, dysuria, etc as the main clinical manifestations, seriously affect the patient’s kidney function and quality of life.Since clinical bladder dysfunction is more common in diabetic patients and the patients taking metformin are mainly diabetic patients,so we studied the effect of metformin on diabetic bladder dysfunction by the clinical data to preliminary study the effect of metformin on bladder dysfunction.Because of diabetic bladder dysfunction may be related to a large number of proinflammatory transcription factor activation and inflammatory reaction, and metformin and has good resistance to the role of inflammation at the same time,so we again to the inflammatory bladder dysfunction induced by cyclophosphamide in mice as experimental object, further analysis to study the effect of metformin on bladder dysfunction. It provides another treatment idea for clinic.Methods:1.Twenty-three patients with diabetic bladder dysfunction were divided into two groups: the study group received oral metformin regimen for hypoglycemia, and the control group received other oral hypoglycemia regimen only. The urodynamic indicators(initial volumetric volume, maximum bladder volume, maximum urine flow rate, and maximum detrusor pressure)of patients in the two groups were collected and collated, and the data were statistically analyzed by SPSS software. The t test was used to test and analyze the data.2.The same animal experiment center culture of adult female healthy mice,a total of24,in the form of completely randomized mice average can be divided into two groups, namely group and experimental group, each group of 12,the experimental group oral metformin solution, the control group with doses of brine, induced by cyclophosphamide cystitis, make the mouse bladder dysfunction,Mice were placed in the same environment(metabolic cage)for survival, and their urination behavior was recorded using a microbalance(connected to a computer). The collected data were analyzed using Power Lab Labchart software.Results:1.The initial volumetric volume and the maximum bladder volume in the study group were lower than those in the control group, while the maximum urinary flow rate and the maximum detrusor pressure were higher than those in the control group.2.The curve of mice in the control group was basically straight and small wavy, while the metformin group still showed obvious normal urination behavior, with significantly lower urination frequency and significantly higher urine volume per urination than the control group. Conclusion:Metformin can not only effectively reduce glucose but also improve bladder dysfunction to some extent, which may be used as another clinical treatment for bladder dysfunction. |
