| Objective:Investigate the current status of anterior crossbite patients’chin-cup wearing compliance status, clarify the factors that affect patients’wearing compliance, and provide a theoretical basis for improving anterior crossbite patients’chin-cup wearing compliance in clinical work. Methods:This study is a descriptive study, using a convenient sampling method, and selected 105 cases of anterior crossbite treated with chin-cup in the orthodontics department of a third-class A dental hospital in Shenyang from October 2019 to December2020.patients.Research tools include:general information questionnaire, parenting style questionnaire,Wong-Baker facial expression questionnaire, temperament questionnaire for ages 3-9,mental health questionnaire for pre-school children.SPSS 21.0 statistical analysis software was used for data analysis.Normally distributed measurement data are statistically described by mean±standard deviation;non-normally distributed measurement data are statistically described by median and interquartile range;count data are statistically described by frequency and percentage;Nonparametric test,Spearman rank correlation and multiple linear regression were used to analyze the influencing factors of chin-cup wearing compliance.Results:1.The median wearing time of the chin-cup of 105 patients in this study was10.94 hours,of which the median wearing time in T1 stage was 11.62 hours, the median wearing time in T2 stage was 10.92 hours, and the median wearing time in T3 stage was10.23 hours.2.The results of a single factor analysis of the wearing time of the chin-cup in patients with anterior crossbite at each stage showed:mother’s education, place of residence, family structure, treatment purpose, whether to have peer treatment, child temperament type, pain degree had statistically significant differences in the effects of wearing time(P<0.05).3.Correlation analysis of the wearing time of the chin-cup in patients with anterior crossbite at each stage showed that:in the T1 and T2 stages, the wearing time of the patients was negatively correlated with spoiling and disciplinary factors, and positively correlated with democracy;T3 stage,The wearing time of patients is negatively correlated with the factors of doting, permissiveness and disciplinary violation, and positively correlated with democracy and age.4.The results of multiple linear regression analysis of anterior crossbite patients’chin-cup wearing compliance showed that parental rearing style and child temperament were the influencing factors of wearing time in the three stages;pain degree and mother’s educational background were in the early stage of the study(T1 And T2 stage)have an impact on the wearing time;whether there is companion therapy to affect the wearing time is mainly reflected in the later stage of the study(T2 and T3 stages).Conclusion:1.There is still a certain gap between the wearing time(10.94 hours)of the chin-cup of patients with anterior crossbite and the time prescribed by the doctor(12 hours);during the first 3 months of treatment, the wearing compliance tended to decrease.2.The factors that affect the compliance of the chin-cup of patients with anterior crossbite are the parental rearing style, the child’s temperament type, the presence or absence of peer treatment, the mother’s education and the degree of pain. |
