| Objective:1.To convert the Self Assessment of Leadership Instrument(SALI)into Chinese and its reliability and validity were tested to provide an effective assessment tool for evaluating the leadership level of domestic clinical nurses.2.The Chinese SALI scale was preliminarily applied to explore the self-rating status of clinical nurses’ leadership and to analyze the influencing factors,so as to explore ways to improve the leadership level of clinical nurses,to enhance nurses’ self-subjective consciousness and decision-making ability.Methods:In this study,the sinicized SALI Scal was used to investigate and study the leadership level of clinical nurses and analyze the influencing factors.After obtaining the authorization of the SALI to translate the scale,based on the Beaton principle,the localization work was carry out to make it suitable for the investigation of domestic clinical nurses.The reliability and validity of the scale after localiztion was determined through the preliminary survey results.After cultural adjustment,the Chinese version of the SALI is determined through the pre-experimental survey results.Literature review,group discussion were used to develop a questionnaire.Convenience sampling was used to investigate the leadership level of clinical nurses.Statistical software was used to analyze the factors affecting the leadership level of clinical nurses.Results:1.The sinicized SALI contains of 40 items in five dimensions,including decision making skills,critical thinking,teamwork,interpersonal relationship and working relationship.The content validity SCVI of the scale was 0.99.The overall Cronbach’s coefficient was 0.983,the partial reliability was 0.912,and the test-retest reliability was 0.978.The Cronbach’s coefficient of each dimension ranged from 0.907 to 0.933.2.The total score for the survey results was(152.05±23.98),and the score of each item was(3.80±0.60),among which the item with the highest score was "taking responsibility for one’s own behavior"(4.25±0.67),and the item with the lowest score was "convincing team members to reach agreement on specific issues"(3.49±0.81).The dimension with the highest average score of items is interpersonal relationship(3.96±0.58).The lowest score of items in the dimension of critical thinking was(3.68±0.65).3.Through regression analysis,tje participation of leadershsip related lectures has an important impact on the leadership level of clinical nurses.Educational level,years of work and marital status were also the influencing factors.Conclusion:1.The sinicized SALI has good reliability and validity,which can better measure the leadership level of clinical nurses.It can be used as an assessment tool in clinical practice.2.In the current survey,the self-rating level of nurses’ leadership was above the scal average.The highest average item score was interpersonal relationship,while the lowest score was critical thinking.This suggests that clinical nurse communicate more with others at work,but critical thinking needs to be further strengthened.Nurses are encouraged to be good at thinking and have their own subjective judgement at work.3.Nurse leadership assessment score for ascension as the growth of the working years.The higher the education level is,the higher the leadership level of clinical nurses is.Participate in leadership training and the married state is also an important factor.. |
