The Effect Of Using Primer On The Bonding Of The Clear Aligner Attachment And Polymerization Porcelain

Objectives Adult patients,accepted clear align treatment,usually have polymerization porcelain restorations in the dentition.Using All Bond Universal can not provide enough adhesion between polymerization porcelain and attachment.Choosing a primer of polymerization porcelain to increase the bonding strength should be solved in clinical.In this study,the bonding area of polymerization porcelain and clear aligner attachment was bonded by Z-Prime Plus(?)primer,3M Unitek Transbond(?)MIP primer and Monobond(?)N primer.Shear bond strength,scanning electronic microscope,energy dispersive spectrometer,micro-leaking were carried out to observe the adhesive properties between polymerization porcelain and clear aligner attachment.To explore the suitable primer for polymerization porcelain in clinical.Methods Specimens were randomly divided into eight groups: A,B,C,D,A1,B1,C1,D1,and the specimens were used to tested by shear bond strength,scanning electronic microscope and energy dispersive spectrometer.After air abrasive and acid etching,A&A1groups were treated by All Bond Universal,B&B1 groups were treated by Z-Prime Plus(?)+All Bond Universal,C&C1 groups were treated by 3M Unitek Transbond(?)MIP+All Bond Universal,D&D1 groups were treated by Monobond(?)N+All Bond Universal.Then all of them were bonded with clear aligner attachments.Others specimens were divided into E,F,G,H groups,which treated by All Bond Universal(E groups),Z-Prime Plus(?)+All Bond Universal(F group),3M Unitek Transbond(?)MIP+All Bond Universal(G groups),Monobond(?)N+All Bond Universal(H groups).Afterwards,four groups were tested by micro-leaking and scanning electronic microscope.Results After Shear Bond Strength test showed that three kinds of primer were above17 MPa,and there was significant difference among the groups(P<0.05).It showed that applied primer before bonding can enchance the shear bond strength effectively.The comparisons of shear bond strength before and after aging in each concentration groups showed that C1 and A1,B1 have significant difference after aging(P<0.05),3M Unitek Transbond(?)MIP groups retains higher bonding strength than All Bond Universal.Significant difference in micro-leakage was found among the 4 groups(P<0.05),Overall analysis of four-groups 3M Unitek Transbond(?)MIP has the best marginal sealing.Conclusions 1 Using primer before bonding clear aligner attachment and polymerization porcelain can increase the bonding strength.2 The experiment result showed that the bonding strength of Monobond(?)N is the best,but the anti-aging is unstable.3Experimental Investigate that 3M Unitek Transbond(?)MIP can ensure the bonding strength and offer prolonged chemical stability.Figure15;Table11;Reference 92...
