| ObjectiveIn this study,we used floating acupuncture therapy to treat wind-cold-damp Scapulohumeral Periarthritis, and used warm acupuncture therapy as a comparison to observe the numerical changes of VAS score,ROM score,ADL score,MMT score and CMS total score before and after 3 courses of treatment in both groups, and to calculate the total effective rate and apparent rate after 3courses of treatment in both groups, and to verify the clinical efficacy of floating acupuncture therapy by comparing the pain, joint mobility, ability of daily living, muscle strength and clinical efficacy in both groups. The clinical efficacy of floating needle therapy in the treatment of frozen shoulder was verified by comparing the improvement of pain, joint mobility, daily living ability, muscle strength and clinical efficacy of the two groups,in order to provide a basis for the use of floating needle therapy.MethodsIn this study,62 patients with periarthritis who met the inclusion criteria of wind-cold-damp periarthritis were admitted. The patients were randomly divided into 31 cases each in the floating acupuncture group and the warm acupuncture group.Patients in both groups received health education, and the floating needle group was treated with floating needles, and three MTr Ps(P1,P2,P3)were identified at the rostral eminence or inter-nodal groove on the anterior side of the shoulder(P1),the subacromial depression(P2),and the lateral angle of the scapula on the posterior side of the shoulder(P3),and the needle entry point was5-6 cm from the MTr P,with the needle tip facing the center of the affected muscle, and the operations of needle transportation, sweeping dispersion, and reperfusion activities were completed after the needle entry. After the operation was completed, the stainless steel core of the floating needle was removed, the plastic hose outside the floating needle was left under the skin, and the soft cannula was fixed on the skin with a sterile band-aid and left for 6 hours before removal. The warm acupuncture group was treated with warm acupuncture, acupuncture points on the affected side of the shoulder,Jianyu,Jianliao,Jianzhen and according to the meridian identification points, after acupuncture, the moxa pillar was fixed on the needle handle, and moxibustion was applied to each point with 3 strokes for about 30 minutes.Statistical analysis was performed to compare the differences in the efficacy of the two groups by observing the changes in the values of VAS score,ROM score,ADL score,MMT score and CMS total score before and after 3 courses of treatment, and the total effective rate and significant rate after treatment.Results1.After three courses of treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups were compared within the groups, and it was found that the VAS scores of both groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant by Wilcoxon test(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment methods of both groups could reduce the pain level of patients;the VAS scores of the two groups after treatment were compared between the groups, and it was found that the VAS The difference was statistically significant by the Mann-Whitney U test(P<0.05),indicating that the degree of pain reduction in patients with floating acupuncture therapy was significantly stronger than that of warm acupuncture therapy.2.After 3 courses of treatment, the ROM score,ADL score,MMT score and CMS total score of both groups were significantly increased compared with those before treatment, and the differences between the above indexes were statistically significant(P<0.05)by Wilcoxon test, indicating that the treatment methods of both groups could effectively improve the shoulder joint mobility of patients, enhance the muscle strength of patients and improve their daily living ability. The difference between the two groups was also found to be statistically significant by Mann-Whitney U test(P<0.05),suggesting that the effect of floating acupuncture on shoulder mobility, muscle strength and daily living ability of patients was better than that of warm acupuncture.3.After 3 courses of treatment, the total effective rate and apparent efficiency of the two groups were calculated, and the total effective rate was 96.8%in the floating acupuncture group and 90.0%in the warm acupuncture group. In terms of apparent efficiency, the apparent efficiency of the floating acupuncture group was 83.3%,and that of the warm acupuncture group was 56.7%,which was statistically significant by X~2test(P<0.05),indicating that the apparent efficiency of floating acupuncture therapy for the treatment of Scapulohumeral Periarthritis was higher than that of warm acupuncture therapy.ConclusionBoth floating acupuncture therapy and warm acupuncture therapy had significant clinical efficacy on wind-cold-damp Scapulohumeral Periarthritis, and floating acupuncture therapy was more effective than warm acupuncture therapy in relieving shoulder pain and improving shoulder mobility, daily living ability and muscle strength of patients.Although the total efficiency of both treatments was comparable, the clinical efficacy of floating acupuncture was significantly higher than that of warm acupuncture, indicating that the efficacy of floating acupuncture for wind-cold-damp periarthritis was positive. |
