| Objective:To compare the therapeutic effect of acupoint massage combined with shockwave and acupuncture combined with shockwave in the treatment of external humeral epicondylitis, and to discuss the mechanism of acupoint massage combined with shockwave, clinical application and promotion value. Methods:A total of 60 patients with external humeral epicondylitis who met the inclusion criteria and were treated in the Massage department of Wuhan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2020 to December 2020 were randomly divided into 2groups,with 30 patients in each group. The experimental group was treated with acupoint massage + shockwave therapy,massage4 times a week, shockwave therapy once a week;In the control group, ordinary acupuncture + shockwave therapy,acupuncture4 times a week, shockwave therapy once a week;Patients in both groups were treated for 2 consecutive weeks. The visual analogue scale(VAS),MEPS score(elbow function score),PFG(painless grip strength)and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The overall efficacy was evaluated after treatment, and the data recorded in the trial were statistically analyzed by SPSS25.Results:1.Comparison of baseline data:The course of disease, gender and age of patients in the two groups were found after SPSS25 processing(P > 0.05),indicating that the data of the two groups were comparable.VAS,MEPS and PFG of patients in the two groups before treatment were found after SPSS25processing(P > 0.05).It indicated that VAS,MEPS and PFG of the two groups before treatment had no significant difference and were also comparable.2.Comparison of VAS before and after treatment between the two groups: Intra-group comparison: VAS score after treatment in both groups was lower than that before treatment, after statistical treatment(P < 0.05),indicating that both groups could reduce the score and improve pain;Comparison between groups: VAS score of the massage group decreased more significantly after treatment than that of the acupuncture group(P < 0.05),and the difference was statistically significant, indicating that the effect of massage on pain improvement was more obvious than that of acupuncture.3.Comparison of PFG between 2 groups before and after treatment: Intra-group comparison: PFG of 2 groups after treatment was significantly higher than that before treatment(P < 0.05),indicating that both treatment methods could improve painless grip strength of patients.Comparison between groups: After treatment,PFG of the acupoint massage group was significantly higher than that of the ordinary acupuncture group(P < 0.05),the difference was statistically significant, indicating that the acupoint massage group could improve PFG of patients.4.Comparison of MEPS before and after treatment in 2 groups:Intra-group comparison: MEPS after treatment in 2 groups were higher than before treatment(P < 0.05);These results indicate that both treatments can significantly improve the function of the patient’s elbow joint.Comparison between groups: AFTER treatment,MEPS in the acupoint massage group was significantly higher than that in the ordinary acupuncture group(P < 0.05),indicating that the acupoint massage group had better effect on improving elbow joint function.5.Clinical effective rate: the clinical effective rate of massage group was 93.33%,and that of acupuncture group was 80%.The effective rate of the two groups was compared between groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.Both the acupoint massage group and the ordinary acupuncture group could significantly reduce VAS score and relieve pain.2.Both the acupoint massage group and the ordinary acupuncture group could significantly improve MEPS score and elbow function.3.Acupoint massage group and ordinary acupuncture group can improve the painless grip strength of patients.4.The total effective rate and recovery rate of acupoint massage group were higher than that of ordinary acupuncture group, and the rate of adverse reactions was lower. |
