With the increasing incidence of malignant tumors, immunotherapy has become one of the most effective therapy in the field of cancer treatment. However,in recent years,a growing number of animal experiments and clinical data have shown that the treatment of immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)could cause cardiotoxicity in cancer patients, including autoimmune myocarditis, myocardial fibrosis, cardiac arrest, cardiomyopathy, heart failure and other diseases. These might induce poor prognosis of the patients with ICIs.Therefore, researchers have begun to focus on the therapeutic strategy of the cardiac effects. This article reviews the mechanism of cardiac toxicity induced by ICIs and the administration of these patients according to guidelines.Furthermore,we illustrated several specific cases and summarized the experience of cardiotoxic patients caused by ICIs in clinical practice. In conclusion, cardiotoxicity is a serious complication of patients with ICIs,which reminds us to enhance awareness of monitoring, early diagnosis and prompt treatment.
