Background: In patients with intraductal papillary mucinous tumor of the pancreas, the prevalence and clinical significance of GNAS gene mutation are still unclear. Therefore, the diagnostic value of GNAS gene mutation in the disease is evaluated by meta-analysis system. Methods: Multiple domestic and foreign databases were searched, relevant studies published before December 2018 were collected, and relevant parameters were analyzed by random effect model. Results: A total of 9 studies were included, including 796 subjects, including 463 cases in the case group and 333 cases in the control group.Meta analysis showed that the sensitivity and specificity of mutant GNAS gene expression in pancreatic cystic lesions for the diagnosis of IPMN were0.53(95% CI: 0.48 ~ 0.57)and 0.99(95% CI: 0.97 ~ 1.00),respectively.The combined PLR,NLR and Dor were 16.19(95% CI: 7.00 ~ 37.45),0.51(95% CI: 0.40 ~ 0.64)and 38.34(95% CI: 16.89 ~ 87.02),respectively.The area under the SROC curve(AUC)is 0.8358.Conclusion: GNAS gene mutation has certain diagnostic value for IPMN.
