| With the rise of medical service concepts such as value medical treatment and patient-centered treatment,the business philosophy of public hospitals has changed from providing high-quality medical services to high-value medical services.At the same time,the paternalistic doctor-patient dialogue situation has gradually reversed to shared decision-making.Patient engagement in the healthcare service context is in a period of change.By reviewing the literature,patient participation is a conceptualization of customer engagement in the field of medical services.From the perspective of the research hotspots of patient participation in the past,the first is to discuss patient participation ability,such as patient empowerment,patient self-management,the second is to discuss patient participation behavior,more from patient participation safety and patient compliance;the third is to discuss patient participation impact on medical outcomes,happiness and satisfaction.There are few studies on the mechanisms of patient participation ability,patient engagement behavior,and the impact of patient participation.This paper introduces a value and creative paradigm to study patient engagement mechanisms with the value of patient experience based on reality and academic context.Modern management concept puts forward that value co-creation is the business goal of the service industry,and the basic proposition of value co-creation theory is the joint value creation between consumers and manufacturers,which shows that customer participation is an important basis for value co-creation,and customer participation behavior is the most common research perspective of value co-creation.In conclusion,this paper believes that patient participation is the basis of value co-creation of medical services,and follows the research idea of precause-behavior-results to study the relationship between patient participation and perceived value with patient participation in value co-creation behavior as the medium.This paper proposes three main points: first,patient participation ability positively affects patient participation in value creation behavior,the second is patient participation in value creation behavior positively affects patient perceived value,third,patient participation in value creation behavior has a mediating role between patient participation ability and patient perceived value.Specifically,this paper sets an independent variable,patient participation ability,an intermediary variable,patient participation in value co-creation behavior and a patient perceived value,to study the direction of influence between these three variables.Meanwhile,the regulatory effects of five control variables were also examined for age,gender,education,visit reason and visit department.In this paper,outpatients from third class hospitals in Chengdu were selected as the survey respondents,and 498 patients were surveyed by using random field sampling.Has obtained four main research results: one is the patient participation ability to participate in value create behavior,the second is to participate in value create behavior positively affect patient perception value,three is the patient ability to participate through patients participation in value create behavior indirectly positive influence patient perception value,four is gender to the patient participation ability and the relationship between patient perceived value has a regulatory effect.According to the research results,this paper proposes that medical service providers should improve the patient experience from five aspects: consolidating patients’ participation ability,increasing doctor-patient dialogue opportunities,personalized value co-creation activities,focusing on the experience value of patients in different departments,and giving full play to patients’ personal characteristics. |
