Objective:The purpose of this study is to observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint catgut embedding in Back-Shu points in the treatment of acne with of spleen and stomach damp-heat type, objectively evaluate the effectiveness of acupoint catgut embedding in Back-Shu points and its safety in clinical practice,so as to find a new direction for further improving the clinical efficacy of acne and provide a basis for future research.Methods:72 patients with acne were randomly divided into two groups: treatment and control. The control group was given oral Chinese medicine Yin Chen hao Decoction and combined with topical clindamycin phosphate gel.On this basis, the treatment group was terated with acupoint catgut embedding in Back-Shu points(double Lateral selection of points: Pishu,Weishu,Feishu and Dachangshu, treated once for 4 weeks,a total of 2 times). The treatment course of both groups was 8 weeks. The skin lesions,TCM clinical syndromes and adverse reactions of the patients were evaluated the treatment, the 4th week, and the 8th week.Acne-specific quality of life questionnaire was conducted for all patients before and after treatment.Result:1)Baseline data comparison: The two groups were comparable in gender, age, duration of disease, severity of disease,TCM clinical syndrome and quality of life scores before treatment(P > 0.05).2)Analysis of curative effect after treatment:(1)After 8 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.91%,and that of the control group was 85.29%.The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group.(2)In terms of improving TCM clinical syndromes, the scores of the two groups were lower after treatment than before treatment. The comparison between the two groups showed P > 0.05,suggesting that the two groups had the same curative effect in improving TCM clinical syndromes of acne patients.(3)In terms of improving the quality of life, the comparison between the two groups after treatment and the group before treatment,P < 0.05,indicating that the two groups of treatment can improve the quality of life of acne patients, the comparison between the two groups,P > 0.05,there is no significant difference in the improvement of quality of life between the two groups. Conclusion:Acupoint catgut embedding in Back-Shu points can improve the clinical efficacy of spleen and stomach damp-heat acne, can better improve the skin lesions of acne patients, and improve the TCM clinical syndrome and quality of life of acne patients to a certain extent, and there is no obvious and serious adverse reactions. This method is safe, simple and convenient for clinicians to operate, suitable for popularization and application, and further research and exploration.
