| Objective:The purpose of this study was to observe the effectiveness and safety of the "experienced ten acupoints" in treating patients with hypomenorrhea of liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome,so as to expand the application of the "experienced ten acupoints" and to explore the clinical effectiveness of acupuncture in treating patients with hypomenorrhea of liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome.Methods:Ninety-five patients who met the inclusion criteria for the study were selected and then randomly divided into three groups, namely, the "experienced ten acupoints" observation group(Group A,n=32),the conventional acupuncture control group(Group B,n=31)and the drug intervention control group(Group C,n=32).The clinical efficacy of "experienced ten acupoints" in the treatment of patients with hypomenorrhea of liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome was evaluated by setting the treatment course to three menstrual cycles and using the pre and post-treatment menstrual flow, endometrial thickness, and the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score as the main observation indexes.Results:1.Before treatment, the three groups had no statistical significance in age, disease duration, menstrual flow, endometrial thickness, and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score(P>0.05)and thus were comparable.2.Overall efficacy comparison: After treatment, the total effective rate was 93.5% in Group A,83.9% in Group B,and 83.3% in Group C.Through pairwise comparison, the total effective rate of group A was significantly higher than that of group B and C(P<0.05).However,there was no statistical difference in the total effective rate between Group B and C(P>0.05).3.Changes in menstrual flow scores and endometrial thickness: Compared with the pre-treatment period, menstrual flow scores and endometrial thickness levels increased significantly in all three groups after treatment(P<0.05).Through pairwise comparison, the menstrual flow and endometrial thickness levels of Group A were higher than that of Group B and C(P<0.05).However,there was no statistical difference in the menstrual flow and endometrial thickness levels between Group B and C(P>0.05).4.Comparison of the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores: Compared with the pre-treatment period, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the three groups were significantly decreased after treatment(P<0.05).Moreover,Group A showed the greatest reduction in the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores after treatment, followed by Group B,and Group C showed the least.Conclusion:1.The "experienced ten acupoints",conventional acupuncture, and drug intervention have therapeutic effects in the treatment of hypomenorrhea of liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome, all of which can improve the menstrual flow, endometrial thickness, and the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores.2.Compared with conventional acupuncture and drug intervention, the "experienced ten acupoints" has obvious advantages in improving menstrual flow, endometrial thickness, and the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores.3.The conventional acupuncture and drug intervention were comparable in improving menstrual flow and endometrial thickness. However, the conventional acupuncture group was superior to the drug intervention group in improving the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome. |
