Objective:By investigating the fear of recurrence and the level of psychosocial adaptation among postoperative patients with breast cancer, the current situation was analyzed, and the influencing factors of the fear of recurrence and the level of psychosocial adaptation were discussed,in order to provide a scientific basis for formulating positive and effective intervention measures, establishing the diagnosis and treatment mode of physical and mental treatment of patients with breast cancer after surgery and improving the quality of life of patients. Methods:Convenience sampling method was used to select postoperative breast cancer patients who were treated and followed up in the First Hospital of Jilin University from October 2021 to January 2022 as the research subjects.A questionnaire consisting of general condition of patients, psychosocial adaptation questionnaire of breast cancer patients, and the fear of progression questionnaire-short form was used for investigation and information collection.Frequency, constituent ratio, mean and standard deviation were used for statistical description, and t-test and one-way ANOVA were used to compare the differences in the level of fear of recurrence and psychosocial adaptation among subjects with different demographic characteristics and disease-related data.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of fear of recurrence and psychosocial adjustment, and Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between relapse fear and psychosocial adaptation.Results:1.In this study,a total of 267 questionnaires were distributed, and 267 were actually recovered. After excluding 10 unqualified questionnaires,a total of 257 valid questionnaires were obtained, and the questionnaire recovery rate was 96.25%.2.The total score of fear of recurrence was(30.26±9.87)points,including(17.49±5.26)points of physical health and(12.77±5.51)points of social family.32.30%of breast cancer patients had a low level of fear of cancer recurrence, and 35.40% and32.30% had moderate and high levels of fear of cancer recurrence.3.The total score of psychosocial adaptation of the post-operative breast cancer patients was(166.81±32.63),of which the self-esteem and self-acceptance dimension had the highest score(38.08±8.98),and the anxiety and depression dimension had the lowest score(26.94±8.75).Patients with a high level of psychosocial adaptation accounted for the highest proportion, reaching 49.42%,patients with a moderate level of psychosocial adaptation accounted for 35.02%,and patients with a low level of psychosocial adaptation accounted for 15.56%.4.There were statistically significant differences in family residence, education level, family income, employment status, degree of economic difficulty, relationship with family members, marital quality, personality, emotional regulation ability, operation time, family history of breast cancer, number of children, postoperative pain level, whether there is postoperative chemotherapy, whether there is distant metastasis, whether there is regular review in the fear of cancer recurrence of the patients. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that family residence, employment status, personality, emotional regulation ability, operation time, postoperative pain degree, and regular review were the influencing factors of recurrence fear in breast cancer patients.5.There were statistically significant differences in family residence, education level, family income, employment status, degree of economic difficulty, main caregiver, relationship with family members, marital quality, personality, ability to regulate emotions, number of children, degree of postoperative pain, and distant metastasis in the level of psychosocial adaptation in patients. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that family residence, relationship with family members, personality and emotion regulation ability were the influencing factors of psychosocial adaptation level of patients after breast cancer surgery.6.The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a significant negative correlation between the fear of recurrence of breast cancer and psychosocial adaptation level of patients. The patient’s own practice status, emotion regulation ability, operation time, postoperative pain degree, and regular review are the important influencing factors for the fear of recurrence in patients after breast cancer surgery. Conclusion:Breast cancer patients have a high incidence of fear of recurrence, and their psychosocial adaptation level is at a moderate level, which should be paid attention to.The patient’s employment status, emotion regulation ability, operation time, postoperative pain degree, and regular review are the important influencing factors for the fear of recurrence in patients after breast cancer surgery.Family residence, relationship with family members, personality and emotion regulation ability are important influencing factors of psychosocial adaptation level of patients after breast cancer surgery.Fear of recurrence is significantly negatively correlated with various dimensions of psychosocial adaptation in patients with breast cancer after surgery.Psychological intervention of patients should be strengthened, individualized intervention measures should be adopted, and psychological nursing methods should be used to timely relieve patients’ anxiety and depression, improve their psychological state, reduce their fear of disease progression and recurrence, and improve their quality of life.
