ObjectiveUnderstand the training status and teachers of standardized patients under the background of medical education reform,evaluate the teachers’ competence of standardized patients,and take the SP practice base of Anhui Medical University as the research object.Based on this,this paper puts forward the strategies of standardized patient training and teacher optimization,so as to provide scientific empirical reference and reference for promoting the development of standardized patient teaching and promoting the reform of medical education.MethodsOn the basis of literature research at home and abroad,a retrospective study was conducted to collect and analyze the SP scores recorded and retained by the SP practice base of Anhui Medical University since 2017,formulate a standardized patient training demand questionnaire,and distribute it to 66 employed standardized patients who have completed the training and registered through assessment in the form of on-site investigation of the SP practice base,Descriptive statistics and influencing factor analysis were carried out to clarify the training needs of standardized patients.Based on the best practice standard of the International Association of standardized patient teachers(SOBP),the standardized patient teacher competency evaluation questionnaire was formulated and distributed to all 41 standardized patient teachers in the SP practice base of Anhui Medical University,Anhui Medical University,so as to quantify the standardized patient teacher competency.From the practical teaching base of Anhui Medical University,Anhui Medical University invited 12 employed standardized patient teachers to conduct focus group interviews to explore the experience of standardized patient teachers in training and teaching,and verified it with a unified qualitative research report to clarify the teaching experience of standardized patient teachers in the training process.ResultsThe SP training base of Anhui Medical University has built an SP training process with scientific planning,strict management,training instead of examination,and the combination of examination and training.The overall teaching quality of the training center has increased year by year.The compilation of SP script has been well evaluated,which is welcomed by students.The teaching effect is better than traditional teaching,and it is worthy of wide promotion.The lack of SP teachers is the main factor restricting the development of SP teaching.SP teachers’ competency evaluation results: the highest score in the field: training sp(4.08 ± 0.5);The highest score of practice criteria: role play(4.46 ± 0.51);SP teachers’ practical competence: ensure the safety of working conditions in the practice of working environment,repeatable simulation design in the practice of case development,recruit and maintain a diversified multi role SP team in the practice of project management,train the coping methods outside the script in the practice of SP,and publish academic achievements in the practice of professional development.According to the results of focus group interviews,one theme(standardized patient teaching and management)and four categories(specialization,psychological needs,active participation,and teaching significance)were summarized.ConclusionsTaking the standardized patient training base of Anhui Medical University as an example,this study analyzes the current situation of SP training and further evaluates the competence of teachers based on data review,literature analysis,on-site visit,questionnaire survey and other methods.It is found that the teaching process and case management of SP are better than those of traditional teaching,but the teaching effect of SP is better than that of traditional teaching.It is found that the teaching process and case management of SP are better than those of traditional teaching.2、 SP training base should pay attention to safe,confidential and respectful teaching environment,roleplaying as the core training process,case development that can be repeatedly simulated,maintenance and recruitment of diversified teams,professional development of publishing academic achievements and other teacher competencies.3、 In terms of SP training,medical colleges and universities need to increase their support for SP,improve SP script and evaluation mechanism,and develop in combination with other teaching modes.In terms of SP teacher optimization,they need to establish SP teaching support environment,clarify SP and teacher responsibilities,and unify training and certification approaches.The research has promoting and guiding significance for the development of the current standardized patient teaching discipline,and provides help for the innovation and development of medical education.
