Objective The relationship between psychosocial factors and functional gastrointestinal disorders is strong,but the prevalence of depression in functional gastrointestinal disorders is poorly studied.The main purpose of this study is to explore the specific disease situation of FD,IBS and FD combined with IBS in patients with depression,as well as the specific disease situation of FD,IBS and FD combined with IBS in patients with depression of different genders.Methods A total of 200 patients with depression diagnosed in Chao Hu Hospital,Anhui Medical University from July 2020 to February 2021 were included in the observation group,including 111 females and 89 males,aged from 18 to 68 years,with an average age of(40.09±11.07)years.In addition,200 healthy people who underwent physical examination in Chao Hu Hospital affiliated to Anhui Medical University during the same period were selected as the control group,aged from 18 to 68 years old,with an average age of(38.15±10.29)years old.Inclusion criteria :(1)All subjects in the observation group met the diagnosis of depression in the self-rating Depression Scale and Hamilton Depression Scale,and had the ability to complete the questionnaire independently;(2)The subjects in the control group showed no organic or functional diseases after examination in the physical examination center of our hospital.Exclusion criteria:(1)Organic diseases of digestive tract and other organic diseases that may affect gastrointestinal motility,such as peptic ulcer,digestive tract tuberculosis,gastrointestinal tumor,hyperthyroidism,etc.;(2)In the past 6 months,she has taken glucocorticoid,non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and other drugs that affect digestive tract function.Functional gastroenteropathy questionnaire was conducted for the two groups of subjects,including basic personnel information form,digestive tract symptom assessment form,self-rating depression scale and self-rating anxiety scale.Finally,the specific disease situation of FD,IBS,FD combined with IBS and FC in the observation group and the control group were compared,and the disease situation of FD,IBS,FD combined with IBS in male and female patients in the observation group was compared.And self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)scores and self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)scores of patients with and without gastrointestinal symptoms in the observation group.Results The prevalence of FD,IBS,FD combined with IBS and FC in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).In the observation group,the prevalence of IBS and FD combined with IBS in female patients was higher than that in male patients,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),while the prevalence of FD was lower than that in male patients,the difference was not statistically significant.SDS and SAS scores of patients with gastrointestinal symptoms were higher than those of patients without gastrointestinal symptoms,and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion Most patients with depression have gastrointestinal symptoms to some extent,and those with gastrointestinal symptoms have higher depression and anxiety scores than those without gastrointestinal symptoms.Female patients with depression are more likely to develop IBS than male patients. |
