| With the development of globalization,intercultural communication is playing a more and more important role in daily life.As English is the most widely used as second language,it is very necessary to improve students’ oral English.However,both the teachers and students neglect this part.Different from the previous studies which only investigated the basic situation of the English-speaking environment or listed some experiences from their teaching,the present paper,emphasizing the importance of language-learning environment,will focus on the establishment of English oral classroom from the Ecological Sociocultural Theory(EST)perspective in which the interactions among students,teachers and materials is coordinated to improve students’ speaking ability.The author takes two Grade-Ten-class from Fuzhou Huaqiao school as examples.Before carrying out the ecological oral classroom,the author will do a questionnaire and a pre-test of speaking to know the average level of students’ speaking ability.After that one class would be chosen to establish the ecological English oral classroom for 12 periods,and the other class would have their original speaking class.At last,both the two class would have a pro-test to analyze if the experimental group and the control group have any differences and the validity of the ecological English oral classroom by using the statistical software SPSS.It is expected that this paper would give some positive evidences to the establishment of an ECT oral speaking class. |
