The subjects in this study were healthy older adults aged 65 and older who did not have dementia or other obvious brain diseases and were able to live independently.They could not help but deviate from the words they wanted to use when speaking.This paper mainly analyzes and studies from the four aspects of the classification of the types of verbal errors in the elderly,the expression of spontaneous correction,the correlation between verbal errors and aging and gender,and the causes of verbal errors.In terms of type differentiation,it mainly divides old people’s oral errors into three categories: reversed word order type,adjacent word production type and selective confusion type.Under each type,they are subdivided into different subcategories according to different characteristics.The production type of adjacent words can be divided into the production type of adjacent words in sentences and the production type of adjacent words outside sentences.Choose chaos model depending on the integrity of proposed composition also divided into two cases,one is two element of competition for tandem are fully represented,the other is a two element of competition for all say out,but the former one to choose composition didn’t complete,only tell part of the revised immediately.From the perspective of the grammatical nature of the target words,the elderly have the highest proportion of verbal slips,followed by verbs and numerals,and the lowest proportion of pronouns,prepositions and quantifiers.The spontaneous correction of verbal errors in the elderly is mainly divided into immediate correction and delayed correction,which can be divided into four types according to the different parts of speech of the corrected part: the correction of nouns,the correction of numerals,the correction of verbs and the correction of fixed idioms.There are three types of delay correction: marked delay correction and unmarked delay correction.With the delay correction of "er,er,eh,eh,ah,oh".A delay in the correction of embarrassing words such as "hehe".With the increase of age,the frequency of verbal errors in the elderly is neither positively correlated nor negatively correlated with the frequency of spontaneous correction,but shows a parabola shape and a U shape,respectively.In addition,through the comparison between men and women,it is found that the frequency of error and spontaneous correction in male elderly population is higher than that in female population.Oral errors in the elderly are affected by many factors,the degradation of their own cognitive ability and the decline of physical function are the most important reasons.This paper mainly discusses the causes of oral errors in the elderly from two aspects: vocabulary extraction and inhibition ability.
