The Cultivation Of Moral Imagination In Moral Education Of Universities

With the rapid development of China’ s society,people’ s values and ways of thinking are becoming more and more diversified and complicated,which leads to a variety of new perplexities when people are in moral dilemma.In this situation,people can no longer only rely on the existing moral standards to cope with and solve new moral problems,but must have a certain degree of innovative moral thinking ability,that is,moral imagination.As a new theory and an important subject in the field of ethics research,moral imagination is gradually becoming the focus of domestic academic researchers.It plays an important role in people’s cognition,emotion and behavior choice and judgment.From the perspective of moral education and teaching in universities,the exploration and research on the theoretical subject of "moral imagination" is of great help to improve students’own moral cultivation and ability,at the same time,it can strengthen their introspection consciousness of moral behavior judgment and choice,reduce friction and conflict.However,in the current moral education process of the universities,educators do not take the cultivation of moral imagination as the focus,and there are still some problems in the moral education and teaching in the universities,so the ability of students to deal with moral problems has not reached the ideal state.Whether universities students have high professional literacy and moral literacy is an important factor for the healthy and prosperous development of the society as a whole.When they enter the society,they will be in a more complex and changeable network of relationships.Whether the moral education in this stage is completed with high quality has a bearing on whether the students’career and social life can be carried out smoothly.As a new way to solve moral problems,the application of moral imagination can help students broaden their moral perspective in the complex and changeable social environment,explore more diversified countermeasures and solutions to deal with the moral dilemma in a wise way,and promote them to become moral people and better carry out social life.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the cultivation of students’ moral imagination.This thesis is mainly divided into six parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly discussed the research purpose,research significance,domestic and foreign research trends and research methods in detail.The second chapter mainly analyzed the connotation,structure,feature and function of moral imagination.Moral imagination is the ability to stand in the eyes of others without being self-centered,to imaginatively place oneself in the position of others,and to share inner feelings with them.It contains five components,including presupposition,plasticity and altruism.The third chapter mainly discussed the necessity and significance of moral imagination in university moral education.It is related to the formation of individual reflective thinking,moral sensitivity and moral wisdom,and has important value in expanding moral vision and developing moral consciousness.The fourth chapter mainly analyzed the problems in cultivating moral imagination from three aspects and expounds the causes of the problems.The fifth chapter,at first,discussed the important prerequisites for cultivating moral imagination according to the content described above,and then proposed five ways to cultivate moral imagination in university moral education.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,summarized the thesis,and emphasized once again about the important value of moral imagination cultivation to university students and moral education,indicating that the topic of moral imagination must be highly concerned in the academic circles.
