| Language is essential for social life,and curse word is an essential part as well.This thesis aims at presenting the language usage of curse word as well as revealing the social ideology,value and culture connotation by comparing the curse words among Chinese mandarin,modern Korean curse word,the curse words used orally in Chinese and Korean and the curse words used in interpersonal communications.Chapter one,the introduction focuses on the research value,previous researches,research targets and methods as well as the definition of curse word.Chapter two,this chapter is mainly based upon the contents of curse word and makes a comparison between Chinese curse word and Korean curse word.Both of them can be categorized into two types:the first is aggressive curse word which can be further divided into two different kinds,namely,insulting word and invective word;As to the insulting word which includes the following three types:firstly,the curse word of conducting the following behaviors,such as sex,sexual life and behavior;secondly,the curse word related to the gender,disability and identity;thirdly,the curse word related to the animals.The invective word mainly contains two different kinds,namely,curse word related to criminal charges and curse word related to disease and death.exclamation.Chapter three,this chapter illustrates the characteristics of cure word’s formation.This thesis studies the property,structure as well as the phrase structure of curse word and points out the similarities and differences.In Korean,nouns,verbs and adjectives can be used as curse words,while they are nouns,verbs,adjectives and numerals in Chinese.In terms of lexical comparison,both Korean and Chinese can be classified as simple word and composite word.The composite word of Korean can be further divided into derivative and compound word,while the compound word of Chinese can be divided into compound curse word and additional curse word.The study focuses on the comparison between the prefix and suffix of compound word in both Korean and Chinese curse word.Chapter four,this chapter compares the lexical structures of Chinese curse words and the Korean ones and focuses on the comparison between Korean curse word and Chinese ones on the level of lexical features and sentence types.Korean mainly adopts the sentence sequence of "subject+object+predicate",while Chinese follows the sequence of "subject+predicate+object",therefore,they are different grammatically.Both Korean and Chinese perform abusive actions through declarative sentence,question,imperative sentence and exclamatory sentence.As to question,it has different names in Korean and Chinese,which has been called "(?)(?)" in Korean and "rhetorical question" in Chinese.Chapter five,this chapter is the conclusion part which concludes the main ideas of this thesis,explains the value and limitations of it as well as proposes the further study.This thesis reveals the similarities and differences in the aspects of content and structure of Chinese curse word and Korean curse word to make it clear for Korean language learners.For curse word is relatively strong in its oral form and is short of references,this thesis is unavoidably limited in its depth and further study will be made to made it better. |
