| ZuoZhuan is an ancient book with unique narrative features.It is not only a historical work,but also a literary work.The former generation of scholars highly praised the achievements of ZuoZhuanin narration,and the study of ZuoZhuan from the perspective of narratology has been a hot topic in the study of ZuoZhuan for a long time.With the gradual development of narratology,the spatial turn of narratology caused by spatial anxiety brings new ideas to the study of narratology.Since the theory of spatial narratology was introduced into China,the academic circles began to turn their perspectives to the study of ancient literature.For a long time,the study of the spatial narrative of ZuoZhuan has been in vain.Although ZuoZhuan takes chronology as its key point and narrates historical events in chronological order,it does not mean that there is no spatial narrative in ZuoZhuan.On the contrary,the space narrative and the time narrative in ZuoZhuan are equally important.They interweave and interact with each other to jointly build the longitude and latitude of the literary world of ZuoZhuan.By focusing on the narration of ZuoZhuan with the theory of spatial narratology,we can clearly see its excellent writing skills in literature,which shows the unique literary value of ZuoZhuan from the perspective of spatial narrative.This paper is divided into three chapters:The first chapter is to sort out the relationship between spatial narratology and ZuoZhuan and classify the narrative space of ZuoZhuan.After clarifying the relationship between narratology and spatial narrative,we can see that narratology is a research theory of narrative text.Western Narratology divides narrative credit into structuralist narratology and post classical narratology.And spatial narratology is a literary theory based on the spatial turn of narrative in post classical narratology.Spatial narratology is not unique to the west,and there is no lack of spatial narrative in ancient Chinese narrative literature.Through combing the origin of ancient Chinese spatial consciousness,it is not difficult to find that in the process of the formation and development of ancient Chinese spatial consciousness,there are two characteristics:space is everywhere,time and space are integrated,which plays a reference role in the spatial narrative of ZuoZhuan.Under the influence of space consciousness,ZuoZhuan often integrates historical materials with the help of space narrative techniques in the narrative process,so that history can be written in an orderly manner.In Zuo Zhuan,there are not only a lot of space writing,but also people’s psychological activities and value orientation are different under different space background.The narrative space of ZuoZhuan can be divided into two categories:realistic space and non realistic space,among which the realistic space is divided into the temple space,the palace space,the running space and the war space,while the non realistic space is dominated by the dream space.The second chapter explores the characteristics of the spatial narrative in ZuoZhuan.In the narration of realistic space,no matter the narration of war space or the narration of temple space and court space related to ritual system,ZuoZhuan’s narration of space scene generally presents a grand and open feature.In addition,the narrative space of ZuoZhuan is scattered around,mainly through the whereabouts of people to connect the scattered narrative sites.Due to the restriction of style and the influence of narrative thought,compared with the book of songs and historical records,ZuoZhuan obviously lacks the description of the narrative space environment.The third chapter analyzes the literary value of ZuoZhuan from the perspective of spatial narratology.The spatial narrative writing of ZuoZhuan plays an important role in the development of plot.With the change of space as the starting point of the plot,the narrative starts from the development to the climax and then ends,and finally achieves the goal of narrative.Spatial narrative also affects the deepening of the characters.In the process of closed space and space change,the character characteristics of the characters are enlarged and psychological activities are highlighted.The different characters of the same character make the image of the character fuller.The use of spatial cohesion and switching can control the narrative rhythm to a certain extent.Under the diachronic narrative framework,the synchronic feature of the spatial narrative of ZuoZhuan provides a new dimension for the narrative of ZuoZhuan.Together with the spatial narrative means of using the techniques of direct and indirect transformation to achieve the spatial cohesion and transformation,ZuoZhuan is endowed with unique literary value. |
