Bedrich Smetana(1824—1884)is a Czech composer,pianist and conductor,founder of the Czech classical music,founder of the Czech national music school.The author selected Smetana’s piano album "Czech Dances" as its main object of analysis.The Czech dance consists of two books,the first containing four polkas,the second containing ten different styles Dance music.This is one of Smetana’s finest piano compositions.The melody is full of rich ethnic characteristics.By studying and analyzing this work,it is possible to gain a deeper understanding of Smetana’s use of Czech national music,also to promote the pianist better interpretation of the work.
