Climate change is a risk facing the world today. In order to mitigate climate change and control the speed of global warming as soon as possible, the role of individuals has gradually been valued.Domestic and foreign scholars have conducted a lot of research on pro-environmental behavior, and believe that cultural worldview, risk perception and psychological barriers are important influencing factors of pro-environmental behavior. The cultural worldview is the individual’s preference for social organization or cultural lifestyle. It is divided according to the two dimensions of “group” and “grid”.The “group” dimension refers to the degree of the individual integrated into the society, the pressure that the individual bears in the group, and the degree of observance of social order. The "grid" dimension refers to the individual’s acceptance and respect for the hierarchy and procedural rules.Combining the group and grid dimensions produces a matrix reflecting four cultural worldviews: egalitarianism, individualism, hierarchism and fatalism.Psychological barriers are non-structural factors that hinder the willingness to adopt lifestyle changes in the form of pro-environmental behavior. This paper used scaling to investigate the current situation of the cultural worldview, climate change risk perception,pro-environmental behavior and psychological barriers of 496 participants, then proposed and tested a model of how cultural worldview, climate change risk perception, and psychological barriers are related to pro-environmental behavior.Based on the sample data:⑴Egalitarianism had a positive direct effect on climate change risk perception.⑵ Climate change risk perception had a positive direct effect on pro-environmental behavior.⑶Fatalism had a negative direct effect on psychological barriers.⑷Psychological barriers have a negative direct effect on pro-environmental behavior.⑸Climate change risk perception was found to fully mediate the relationships between cultural worldview and pro-environmental behavior, and the relationships between cultural worldview and psychological barriers.⑹Psychological barrier was fully mediated the relationships between cultural worldview and pro-environmental behavior.
