A Study On Propaganda And Education In The Implementation Of Marriage Law In China From 1950 To 1953

On May 1,1950,new China promulgated the first marriage law of the People’s Republic of China(hereinafter referred to as the marriage law).Subsequently,in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the marriage law,the party and the government vigorously carried out the publicity and education of the marriage law throughout the country.From 1950 to 1953,People’s Daily,the official newspaper of the central committee of the communist party of China(CPC),made highly concentrated propaganda reports on the marriage law and played a very important role in the publicity and education of the law.From the perspective of People’s Daily,this article analyzes the basic situation of publicity and education in the implementation of the marriage law in the early period of new China.In addition to the introduction part,this paper mainly includes the following four parts:First,at the beginning of the new China to strengthen the "marriage law" publicity and education background.In 1950,new China promulgated the first marriage law,which was an important piece of legislation after the victory of the new democratic revolution.Due to the deep-rooted feudal marriage system and ideology,as well as the weak legal awareness of the masses and cadres,the implementation of the marriage law encountered strong resistance.Therefore,in the early period of new China,the party must carry out and strengthen publicity and education nationwide,and promote the implementation and implementation of the marriage law.Second,the publicity and education content in the implementation of the marriage law.During this period,People’s Daily undertook the historical mission of propagandizing and educating the broad masses and cadres about the marriage law.To raise the ideological awareness of the masses and cadres by publicizing the significance of the marriage law;To interpret the meaning of the marriage law to enhance the understanding of the masses and cadres;The publicity of local experience and the formation of public opinion atmosphere conducive to the implementation of the marriage law have promoted the smooth implementation of the marriage law.Third,the publicity and education methods in the implementation of the marriage law.People’s Daily’s publicity and education of the marriage law has achieved remarkable results thanks to the adoption of appropriate ideological and political education methods.Through the use of education methods such as the combination of practice and guidance,the combination of positive publicity and negative education,and the combination of criticism and self-criticism,the masses and cadres have a deep understanding of the spirit and essence of the marriage law,and the marriage law has become a household name and deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.Fourth,the publicity and education enlightenment in the implementation of the marriage law.The publicity and education of the marriage law in the early days of the People’s Republic of China enabled the masses and cadres to have a correct understanding of the marriage law and to act voluntarily in accordance with the marriage law,enabling the smooth implementation of the marriage law.This provides beneficial enlightenment for the new era to promote the implementation of law and realize the rule of law through publicity and education.
