A Study On The Economic Geography Of Guanzhong Area During The Five Dynasties

The Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms was a period of secession between the demise of the Tang Dynasty and the establishment of the Song Dynasty,during which wars continued and regimes changed frequently in the northern region.In the Tang Dynasty,the Guanzhong Plain area was once the core area of national politics and economy.However,during the Five Dynasties,the economic development of the Guanzhong area continued the recession since the end of the Tang Dynasty,and fell into a stagnation stage.This article starts with the regional characteristics and natural conditions of the Guanzhong Plain area,to explore the agricultural development,handicraft industry development,and the distribution of commerce and transportation in the area during the Five Dynasties,and summarizes the reasons for the economic decline in the Guanzhong Plain area.This article consists of the following parts:Part 1: This part defines the geographical scope of the Guanzhong Plain area and analyzes its natural geographical conditions.It clearly delimits the range of the territorial concept of the Guanzhong Plain,and summarizes the natural factors such as the mountain and river situation,hydrothermal climate,mineral resources,soil conditions,and vegetation conditions within this range.This is the foundation of the article.Part 2: This part focuses on the historical,economic,and geographical development of the Guanzhong Plain area during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms.It is divided into four sections.The first section summarizes the economic development of the Guanzhong Plain area before the Five Dynasties.The second section discusses the agricultural development of the Guanzhong Plain area from the aspects of land types,damage to farmland water conservancy facilities,and the emergence of new agricultural economic products in this area.The third section briefly describes the development of handicraft industry in the Guanzhong area,and explains through two mature handicraft industries in this area,including the mining and metallurgy industry and the porcelain industry.The fourth section cuts through the cities in the Guanzhong area,and uses the cities as a carrier to analyze the development of commerce and transportation within the area.Part 3: This part analyzes the reasons for this historical economic development.The main reasons are: the turbulent social environment of the war,the decline of population,the exploitation of harsh taxes and donations by various regimes,and the loss of advantages as a political center.Part 4: This part is the conclusion of the article.It summarizes the historical,economic,and geographical development of the Guanzhong Plain in the Five Dynasties,and combines relevant conclusions with reality to evaluate the conclusions of this research,and finally extracts the significance of the research on this topic.
