| After the middle of Ming Dynasty,Wang-school,Buddhism and Taoism became more and more popular.Luo Qinshun deeply observed the infiltration and threat of Buddhism into Confucianism. As the guardian of Cheng-Zhu-school,he argued that Xin-school is Zen and criticized Buddhism, which started his ideological process of dividing Confucianism and Buddhism. The article review Luo Qinshun’s philosophical thoughts again. It is divided into three parts:The first part analyzes the theoretical basis of Luo Qinshun’s subdivision of Confucianism and Buddhism.Luo Qinshun was a defender of Cheng Zhu’s Neo-Confucianism,but he did not believe entirely. He further put forward his own revision opinions on the content and structure of Zhu Zi’s Li-Qi and Xin-Xing,Based on this,he divided the Confucianism and Buddhism. He thought that the biggest problem of Cheng-Zhu-school’s biggest problem is that "Li-Qi is two",therefore,he proposed that“Li-Qi is one”.Generally speaking, the basic scale of Luo’s Li-Qi and Xin-Xing should still belong to zhu’s category. The second part analyzes luo Qinshun’s subdivision of Xin-school and Zen.Luo Qinshun based on his tendency of thinking about Cheng-Zhu’s Neo-Confucianism,criticized Lu Wang’s Xin-school as a heresy with the attitude of defend the orthodox. He believed that lu Wang’s Xin-school was similar to Zen,which would cause the malady of "seeking internal and external leave",in order to reverse the tendency of too internalization of Xin-school.The author thinks luo Qinshun and Lu Wang belong to two different standpoint of Neo-Confucianism,luo Qinshun negates Lu Wang’s standpoint of Xin-school with his standpoint of Qi-school,which is undoubtedly biased. The third part further analyzes Luo Qinshun’s subdivision of Confucianism and Buddhism. In Luo Qinshun’s opinion, the difference between Confucianism and Buddhism must be clarified in order to resist the theory of Xin-school.Therefore,this paper puts the focus on the specific direction of Luo qinshun’s division of Confucianism and Buddhism into the following three interlinked aspects:First,Confucianism and Buddhism have different ontologies;Second, due to the different ontologies of the two kinds of thoughts, the difference in the theory of Xin-Xing is determined. In the aspect of state theory,Luo Qinshun believed that there were also great differences between Confucianism and Buddhism.Confucianism was "clear and bright",while The Buddha was "empty and open-minded";Third,Luo Qinshun believes that Buddhism is unable to correctly identify the ontology and Xin-Xing of the philosophical level, resulting in the ethical value level of rebellious, renouncing human relations, narrow and biased, etc. The author thinks that the difference between Confucianism and Buddhism is due to their different fundamental positions.Confucianism affirms the reality of all things in the world, and concludes that in this world,"it is possible to realize the truth with clarity".However,Buddhism advocates the emptiness of origin, holds that all things in the world are impermanenl and unreal, and denies the reality of all things in the world. Therefore,it is easy to be misunderstood as Buddhism holds that the world is empty. |
