In the contemporary era, moral ethics discusses moral dilemmas more and deeply.Among them,Hursthouse’s moral dilemma theory is particularly outstanding. It not only defines and categorizes moral dilemmas, but also proposes specific methods to solve moral dilemmas. And it also contains a lot of creative content, such as the proposal and application of V-rules,so it deserves special attention and in-depth research.Hirsthouse first identified the concept of moral dilemma, and based on whether the actor had a reasonable moral basis, she chose one of them instead of the other.Dividing it into two types of moral dilemmas that can be resolved and unsolvable moral dilemmas(Mainly include pleased unsolvable moral dilemmas and frustrating unsolvable moral dilemmas)In addition, there is a tragic moral dilemma that "actors must not be solved in mud or mud." This dilemma has both a solvable moral dilemma and an irresolvable moral dilemma. In moral dilemmas, not only must you make morally correct decisions and behaviors, but you must also pay attention to the unselected moral requirements, and the remainder of this involves moral feelings such as regret and guilt, which is significant virtues of actors. In solving the moral dilemma,Hursthouse proposed the theory of V-rules,which aims to show that virtue ethics takes into account the dual functions of behavioral guidelines and behavioral evaluations.Among them, each type of virtue corresponds to a type of rule and is targeted at different types of Moral dilemma subdivides different countermeasures.Hursthouse’s theory of moral dilemma has broken the stereotype of virtue ethics that was not rational enough in the past.It has a strong theoretical and systematic nature. It occupies an important position in virtue ethics and normative ethics. There are contradictory issues such as whether the virtues of moral actors are unified and the lack of practical use of V-rules.
